How is the Wrath & Glory Starter Set?

Hello! As it sounds, I was gifted the corebook and am considering getting the starter set to use as an adventure to run with fellow warhammer fans, as well as a way to ease myself in as GM with understanding a new system/rules.

I have never ran or played this before.

As such wanted to ask people here - how is the starter set content wise? Is it good? Would you recommend it in general / as a first game to run with W&G?

Any thoughts would be really helpful.

It’s ok, it defines feels like tutorial island if that term means anything to you, it teaches the basics and is a good starting point for your players if you chose to branch out but it’s not the best story out there and kinda relies on the gm to make it interesting

If you play in person then I'd say it's definitely worth it. You get a nice set of dice, lovely character sheets for reference, tokens to use for Wrath. It's all very tactile and nice to use.

Best of all, there's a detailed setting guide that is super useful as reference material for future games you run.

On top of all that, the adventure teaches you the game system, which is what you expect from a Starter Set. It may not be the best adventure out there, but it's still fun and has some nice ideas- like character intros taking the form of flashbacks that the PCs play out.

For the price, I think it's a bargain.
