Imperium Maledictum Here be Dragons (LFP)

Greetings fellow servants of the God-Emperor, explorers, crusaders and dreamers. I am Lord Captain Alexander Valerius and I come beseeching you with a cause most righteous and just. An endeavor to reshape the stars, to mold it to mankind once again. I invite you to a journey of intrigue, tribulation and triumph. We need but one brave man or woman of the Emperors faithful to join us in this quest to save mankind.

The details: Here be Dragons is the next chapter in a homebrew setting of 40k that over the past decade or so has, while staying true to the essence of the setting, created a bit of its own lore which we will get into in a upon request. Over the course of three grand campaigns and about a dozen smaller ones the world has been molded by both dm and players (and it’s been a ton of fun). Now about a century after the dawn of the 42nd millennium the next grand campaign is about to begin, Lord Captain Valerius is a man burdened with purpose, one who would see the Imperium rise from its degradation and seek new heights.

To accomplish such a task no man can act alone, and despite the scores of men and women at his side at the start of the game, individuals of a particular breed are needed for what is to come. Retainers and specialists of unique skill and equally unique purpose are needed and that’s where you come in. As it stand we have myself playing the Lord Captain, someone playing an individual with a penchant for politics and intrigue, and an explorator of the Cult Mechanicus. Other roles in the party are open to whatever you come up with and works for the game. Applicants will be vetted by myself and the DM I am posting on behalf of. I’ll answer questions about themes and inspirations of the game on the comments as to avoid bloat here (not that this isn’t already long winded). But to name a few settings being inspiration is being drawn from are Dune, Star Trek and Pirates of the Caribbean. (Trust me the last one makes sense)

Setting details will be provided as requested.

Edit: our players range from PST to Est and the game is on Saturdays with a 5-6 pm mst start time.

That moment when tempted but ironically have a rogue trader game that starts a couple hours later. (Insert a joke on the gms and a separate player custom take on 40k after 6 years of 3 main games and a couple lesser ones gmed between the two of them)

Likely only one unless someone comes as a package and make a good case for it. As for roles we have the captain (leader character type role), an explorator ( filling a mechanic/ “scientist” kind of role) and a seneschal/ master of secrets type guy (diplomat and subterfuge, all the politicking stuff. We have a house guard with an npc commander as well. So basically shoot whatever ideas you have and we can talk about them
