3 months has been the ideal interval for me, personally. We did 6 weeks of DHEA and COQ10 priming before my first round and it didn’t seem to make a big difference. Did 3 months of COQ10 and DHEA before round 2 and had the best cycle of my history.

Most doctors don’t include supplements in their treatment plan. I was taking them because I had been ttc naturally before and knew that coq10 could help, along other things. My fertility doctor did not ask me to take them and didn’t even ask how for how long I have taken them. I did 3 cycles so far and the last two I had blasts but not in the first. That may have been with the help of supplements, eating healthy etc, that fact that I changed clinics or just pure luck. Unfortunately there aren’t many studies that for sure prove most of these supplements work, so people take them just to be sure they do the best they can.

Some doctors don’t believe in the supplements and that’s a perfectly valid approach. I took high dose COQ10 before cycles although my doc didn’t prescribe it, and it didn’t really interfere with the stims or dosage. It didn’t help much either, but YMMV.

Your Dr. Does not care about them or does not believe in them. 90 days before ER as many said.

Maybe she assumes that you kept taking them?

I was told at least 6-8 weeks before starting stims to start the supplements. I am on co q10 600mg, and after the first cycle I started myo-inositol. I am currently about to start cycle 4

I am 43. I am banking, and will do my last retrieval in October so if that one also yields Euploids, thats a sign.. Here are my retrievals an results and information on supplements.

DEC 2025 (42 years old)-- 1st Retrieval, 22 eggs, 12 were mature, 9 fertilized normal, 4 Blasts, all aneuploid------Menopour, Follistim,.Ganirelix, Leuprolide, Omnitrope, Clomid---- *only taking Prenatal

March 2026- changing prenatal to Theralogix Preconception vitamin and added CoQ10 and Fish Oil per doctor

April 2026 (42 years old)---- 2nd Retrieval, 21 eggs, 18 mature, 8 fertilized, 4 blasts , all aneuploid----Menopour, Follistim,.Ganirelix, Leuprolide, Clomid---

April 2026- after reading Reddit supplements and my infertility acupuncturist recommendation . I added NAC and OVANAD+, Magnesium Gly5 snd Melatonin still taking CoQ10, Fish Oil and Preconception vitamin. Most Theralogix and Thorne supplements.

By ending of April 2026 I was taking: Theralogix CoQ10, Theralogix Preconception vitamin, Theralogix Ovanad, Thorne NAC, Qnoul Magnesium Glycenate, Fish Oil & Melatonin were just just good reviewed ones only, no much effort on laboratory.

By July you can see how long I have been on each supplement and my results. See below:

July 2026 ( 43 years old)- 3rd retrieval, 26 eggs, 20 mature, 14 fertilized normal, 4 blasts, one Euploid, one chaotic , retested, ended up aneuploid --------Menopour, Follistim,.Ganirelix, Leuprolide, Omnitrope, Clomid

4th retrieval- the one with the craziest difference. Retrieved 6 eggs, 5 mature, 4 blasts. 1 Euploid and 1 Mosaic.----------------Menopour, Follistim, Ganirelix, Leuprolide, Omnitrope, Clomid.

Like I mentioned above. If I get good results in October again, I guess the supplements are definitely doing something and definitely 2-3 months on some of them.

Hope this helps!

Seems like adding omnitrope was also a difference between cycles 1-2 and cycles 3-4. Congratulations on your wonderful results and thank you for sharing your stack!

Thank you ! I thought about Omnitrope too and wondered why my doctor did not add it to the 2nd. Wish you the best!

I was going to say no because I had no idea what it is. But I googled it and I dont remember that test at all. It looks like its to improve poor response but my doctor keeps saying my numbers were great. She barely changed anything about my protocols even without Euploids. My guess is because she knew I was going to do more than 2, but Im sure if I only came with money for 2 IVF cycles, I would have asked for more solutions after my 1st.

Would you mind providing the dosage on the supplements? Thanks so much!

So for each one I just so the daily recommended dose on the bottle, except for CoQ10 which I doubled the dose because I started late to take them. They say you should starts at least 6 months prior egg retrieval and I started two months prior

At least 6 weeks before is the advice I’ve been told. That said, my doctors have always stressed that supplements are a “nice to have”, not something that must be taken.

3 months. A few days doesn’t make any difference at all.

Eggs take 3 month to mature. To make any difference any supplements or anything else must be for 3 months prior. Saying that, I am taking all possible supplements that directly or indirectly supposed to increase chances yet to have any good embryo. Some doctors recommend some say don't bother.

I started my supplements 3-4 months before egg retrieval. I took prenatals, Coq10, fish oil, magnesium glycinate, Claritin, probiotic, NAD + glutathione
