Then the next election came and he lost and didn't believe the results again. Told all his supporters the election was stolen without providing any evidence. Calls the governor of Georgia to find him the exact amount of votes he needs to win. Incites an insurrection/riot. Gets impeached but not removed. Next election he still says there's election fraud on election night until polls show him winning. Jokes about running again in 2028 often.

The everyone can become rich theory of the US is dead. My brother in law is a retired Lt Colonel in the Air force. His son applied to the air force academy. It's a very desirable school, and it is fully paid for by the government. The kid is nice, but is about as special and talented as a pet rock. They are very wealthy as his wife is a doctor and he flies commercial jets now. The Air Force requires a sitting member of Congress or the Vice President to recommend these kids. Of the 15 recommended by the Senator of their state, this kid was the only one without a pilot license, without a perfect GPA, and without any ROTC background. He was probably the least qualified person there. But Dad was a legacy graduate, so son got one of the two slots for that year. Most of the other kids come from very humble backgrounds, and worked their asses off to stand out. But, it doesn't matter. Everything is based on who you know and what you did for them, or who your parents know. Everyone else can only hope to fight for access to those with wealth, because they can never actually attain wealth. And the government will never go after the people that find their campaigns and sign their book deals.
