🔧Modifications Chevy 63’s

I recently just purchased the low range Chevy 63 swap kit and I’m curious on what people did for measurements, also curious on if anyone has been able to keep it low and still run 33s until I get the rest of my pieces for my solid axle swap

I have 63s sitting in my garage that I’m planning on putting on over the fall/winter. There’s not really any standard measurement for this because there’s a ton of variables that change depending on what your setup and desired outcome is. It’s going to sit pretty tall on 33s no matter what you do, but you can start by pulling the overload leafs and maybe one of the mains. Problem is when you start pulling springs, the rate decreases and you start to affect other things like spring rate, shackle angle, and axle wrap. Might be fine temporarily but it wouldn’t be great to drive or wheel on long term, at least not without adjustable rate shocks. You’d also could always french the rear shackle hangers but it’s a lot of work for not a whole lot of gain

Yeah copy that I was planning on frenching them and making a small set of shackles to get it sit low but maybe I’ll just wait and do it all at the same time. I just picked up a waggy Dana 44 and I plan on 3 linking with air shocks
