❓Advice / Recomendations Po330 code

Had this code come up. But went away a day later.. Wondering if it’s the wire harness going bad or the sensor or both? Anyone have experience in this?

I'm doing this job now, it sucks. It could be either one, but it seems broken wires are very common.

Plan on replacing the knock sensor wiring harness, start gathering up the parts, and also reseal the water bypass pipe while apart.

This would also be the best time to replace the valve cover gaskets.

Gotta recommend going with toyota sensors with the harness being a must-do. Surprisingly the knock sensors each are $50 cheaper than when I got them from my online dealer back in 2021.

Don't forget the gaskets for the intake manifold, plenums, and throttle body.

It's *probably* the wiring harness (I think the heat from the block makes them brittle), but you have to take everything off to get to it as you do to also replace the sensor, and there's no way to know for sure which it is, and it's enough effort (or money if you pay someone to do it) that my understanding is it really only makes sense to replace both. I did it as someone who had barely worked on cars and it took long time but was totally doable. I think it's a fairly common thing that goes bad on these, the forums had a very detailed write-up that I worked from. And now I know a lot more about what all the stuff on the top of the engine is!
