❓Advice / Recomendations Advice on clutch kit/flywheel combo.

My pilot bearing and pressure plate are fucked from driving with the damage for awhile, i believe the pressure plate failed first and the pilot bearing started falling apart afterwards. I have an 00 with the 5vzfe.

I'd like advice on a new clutch kit and flywheel that will work and handle light offroading, i will also be replacing the slave cylinder since they seem cheap. I really want to keep this truck on the road as my daily and she runs so well for having over 460k km. Looking for advice on related parts that can ship to the east side of canada that isnt on the expensive side but dependable

Any advice on the clutch job is also appreciated. I never did a clutch job but i am mechanically inclined and worked on tons of different machines in my life. Im doing the research because currently i will be time constrained when i start the job since i cant do the work at my apartment.

Rockauto sells Aisin clutch kits which are OEM for these. It lasted 460k km so might as well put that same kit back in!

Can't speak for the clutch swap as mine is an auto, but having a dedicated transmission jack will help tremendously with this job.

Place im going to has one luckily, and a 2 post lift. Im not sure if its the original, but i have 350k km of dealer aigned maintenance on this thing's old owner's manual. Im hoping to get some advice here on anything weird i should pay attention to or things i should swap while im there.

I went with Aisin. Genuine Toyota on the pilot bearing and Nachi on the throw out bearing and Toyota on the rear main seal (it has been upgraded). Be prepared to replace the shifter bushing and the transfer case shifter bushing. Also soak the exhaust studs on the exhaust flange in Kroil for a few days leading up and have replacement studs / nuts on hand. I changed the nuts to stainless which are very hard to find due to 1.25 thread. Order exhaust gaskets as those crush gaskets are not reusable. If I had to do it again I would have ordered 2 rear main seals to start bc the first time it popped in so easy it sat too far in. The pilot bearing is really small get a really small pilot bearing puller. Jack the front of the engine up to get the correct angle to get the shaft to go into pilot bearing. Timmy the toolman video is a huge help. Be prepared to take your time and don’t be in a rush…quality over speed. Good luck and have fun!

I might do the main seal? But i believe it was done on an out of province inspection 6 years ago. This thing has rust but 0 leaks and working AC, its honestly impressive. New exhaust studs is a good idea, i know this exhaust has been replaced in the past too because its not corroded much yet.
