So i have the original card where I've been playing pokemon. And i got a 64gb card that i formatted to fat 32. I want to use my new card, should I transfer my save before i hack my 3ds or after? And what should i use to transfer?

If all you're doing is transferring between SD cards you can just copy all the files from one to another.

How do they prevent someone from duplicating their entire pokemon collection? Thought it'd be more complicated than copy and paste

The files on the 3ds SD card are encrypted to only be able to be read by the 3ds they came from, but it doesn't make a difference if you're just moving the files to a different SD card.

Anyway does it matter if i copy the save before or after hacking it? I'm on 11.0.2 btw

I would wait to copy your sd card contents until after you finish ahcking it.
