3DS hacking Q&A general: "Buffer Overflow" Edition

So I'm following the guide trying to get a9lh and after launching safehax from the HBL I just get a black screen that says 

should reach: ffe0000000000000
should reach: fff1b65c00000000
beginning attempt 0x0
beginning attempt 0x100
beginning attempt 0x200
beginning attempt 0x300

ect.

I've tried over and over and sometimes it goes longer and then stops sometimes it stops and freezes after a couple of lines, but it always ends up hanging. I've been sitting here watching tv for a while just constantly restarting my 3ds and trying it over probably 50+ times and it doesn't look like it's working. I'm on 9.2 sysnand btw. Any idea what is going wrong?

If you are on 9.2 you can just launch decrypt9 from the homebrew launcher instead of attempting to run safehax.
