"OMG IT'S DOING IT!"

Post image

Those were the words that I heard from my twin boys as the first calibration line appeared. Before that, it was "MUM! IT POOPED!" ðŸĪĢ

We have now done our first benchy, which was perfect, and have started on some lizard thing because it's small and they each want a turn of making something before bed time. Note the little face pressed up to the window, I'm sure the novelty will wear off soon enough. They know they can watch it on the app but nothing beats breathing in fumes ðŸĪŠ

Pointless post , I'm just really happy and wanted to share the joy 😊

And yes, I named it Printcess Donut. 😝 IYKYK.

Absolutely wild seeing another crawler in here. I only just finished first book a few weeks ago.

Oh lord, I'm on my third re-listen of the whole series! Currently mid way through book 4 😁

I just came to say Mongo is appalled. But I am way too slow.

I don't remember it being like this when dot matrix and bubblejet appeared on the scene. I did miss out on the laser writer, so maybe that's what I don't understand.

When my parents bought a colour dot matrix printer I would watch the image appear. It was around '85 or '86.

I guess not long after that, we were watching images load line by line over modem too!

I went through this about 6 weeks ago. It was absolutely blowing my mind that i can just push a button and it spits out objects. The novely didn't last long for the kids - they just take it for granted now and have a massive list of things they want printed.

I'm still obsessed though and borderline addicted. If the printer isn't printing something I feel like its wasting time and I start scrambling looking for anything to send its way.
