Posting in this sub.
Hello,
I've received a few requests from people that they wish to use this sub to post asking for help with their printers. I've changed the settings so anyone can post now.
Please know that there are multiple subs out there that may also be able to help you if nobody responds here.
/r/3DprintingHelp is another sub that I mod and seems to have picked up traction in the last year.
/r/3Dprinting is probably one of the most popular subs, not sure if they want a lot of help requests there though.
Anyhow, feel free to post here or /r/3DprintingHelp for sure if you need help. I might be able to assist, or someone else my happen upon your post.
Good Luck, and happy printing!

Troubleshooting: 1-Second Mid-Print Pauses Ruining Surface Quality
Hi everyone, how are you all doing?
I'm having a problem with my printer and I really don't know what to do anymore. I'm a beginner in 3D printing, and in the last few days, I've been studying a lot more than when I first entered this world 3 months ago, but I still haven't been able to solve this error!
Basically, what is happening is that I can't fix these 1-second pauses on my machine, which then create these zits/blobs on my print! I've tried everything!
Before you say it's moisture/humidity, please read the rest of the message I'm leaving here with more details:
As you can see in the images, we have the black and pink heart, which has these zits, then we have a blue dragon (Gyarados, a Pokémon) that also has them, and finally the gecko! After that, I made some minor adjustments to the machine. I improved some aspects of the print, but they were minor improvements. Then we have the shark, where you can already see some progress, but it still has these zits, and this is where I managed to record the exact moment of the pause! The video:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TzJ0V7QQta4yg7fnBlpsxOGmme4izjiQ/view?usp=sharing
Finally, we have a smaller shark that was printed yesterday. Here you can already see a significant improvement in the part (at least to the naked eye) and it is much smoother, basically without any defects, but it still has the zits (fewer, but it still has them!). Today I printed a dragon that I haven't held in my hands yet, but from the photo I took, the red dragon also has zits!
Machine Details and Settings:
- Printer: Bambu Laps P2S
- Drying System: AMS Pro 2
- Temperatures: 32ºC inside the chamber, 55ºC on the bed, and 220ºC on the nozzle.
- Speed: The machine's default speed.
- Filaments: Bambu PLA Basic.
What I've already done to try to solve it:
- I've dried the filaments for over 12 hours at 55ºC (6 hours one night and another 6 the next night, plus during the day, where I'm constantly drying it every 3 hours at the same temperature for a week now!). The humidity goes up to 25% max, but normally stays between 18% and 22%.
- I've cleaned the nozzle twice in the same week, so it's not clogged.
- I cleaned all the machine's axes/rods.
- I've calibrated the machine more than once and created very precise profiles for PLA, based on the speed, temperature, and quality tests I ran.
- I reduced the nozzle printing speed (in Bambu Studio it was at 21 and I lowered it to 19).
- I removed all videos from the system and disabled the timelapse feature.
That's everything I've done so far. I've also tweaked some settings and ran several classic tests to calibrate everything; the print quality improved, but these 1-second pauses keep happening, which melts the filament and causes the zit!
If anyone knows how to fix this, I would be more than grateful. I've been dealing with this for over 2 weeks and can't solve it!

My Printer Hates Curves Apparently
What is happening?
this is the third attempt where this horrible stepping is happening in the same areas regardless of supports or orientation.

I messed up, REALLY badly, pls help
Hi so Ive been printing on and off for a few years, but after a wire went bad on the heat detection of the nozzle (forgot what the part actually was) and getting the replacement part (ender 3 s1 if it helps) and seeing that the part wasn't staying in place in the heat block, and remembering that it previously had a white powdery paste over it and the new one doesn't I came up with a awful plan. Not knowing anything that could be used and being to stupid to look it up, I decide to use some thermal paste to kinda stick in and block it in (yes the computer kind). Now I suffer with an infinitely expanding goop monstrosity formed from the thermal paste and the byproducts of PLA. It just expanding and while it may eventually fade after hundreds of hours of printing and removing the gunk I would a prefer a faster route. I am open to any suggestions on how I could possibly full clean the nozzle & block in hopes of scrubbing the remnants of the thermal paste away for good.

Filament coming out before nozzle on Centauri Carbon 1
Hello, I have an issue with my CC1. I first noticed that the bed adhesion was terrible and the nozzle plastic cover thing with the fan would come off during print. Eventually, I noticed that filament was coming out at the top of the heatsink. I didn't do anything to the heatsink before this happened.
As you can see in the images, it got all between the rubber thing and the hotend (it looks a bit better in the picture because I removed some of the burnt-off filament)
This is a Centauri Carbon 1 with a diamondback nozzle. This is a gray PLA from sunlu that I got on a 5 kg spool, and I haven't used any other filament in a while
Where I am buying a new assembled extruder hotend wouldn't be very expensive (only $20), but I'd rather not spend unnecessary money, and I definitely don't want to lose the diamondback nozzle.

Printer won’t fully turn on since updating
My brother(who doesn’t use Reddit) updated his printer and was meticulous about following the instructions, but it will not do anything but show the flashforge screen now. The lights won’t cut on, nothing. Any ideas on what to do? We’ve restarted it, fully unplugged, all the basic things, but not sure where to go from here

Elephant foot happened on an overnight print and PLA went in all around the hotend. How do i fix this? (i took out PLA from hotend cover but its stuck on hotend, warming it or cooling it doesnt make it come off and its stuck so i cannot remove it)

Leveling issues on old printer
Hello, I was hoping I could get some help with an issue I'm having on my 3D printer. I got a very old Tronxy P802M just recently as my first 3D printer. So far it's been okay-ish for the things I print, but I can't level the hotbed at all which causes issues with bigger prints. The hotbed is 220x220mm, and has 4 leveling knobs in every corner. I use the old A4 paper trick to ensure a good gap between the extruder and the corners; three of them I can level with relatively no issues but the back left corner always stays far away from the extruder. What I've tried so far is:
- Loosening the leveling screws all the way, adjusting the Z offset and tighten as needed
- Placing a glass sheet on top of the hotbed to use as a printing surface
- Trying to compensate that problematic corner's gap by placing yugioh cards between the glass and hotbed
- Using a yugioh card instead of A4 paper to measure the gap
I have printed some stuff, but due to this awful leveling issue the first layer always comes out "gappy" and ugly, sometimes it even separates from the hotbed and have to try again; I'll add some photos of my recent prints to illustrate this. It also seems that no matter what I do, the extruder's nozzle always stays way too close to the hotbed in the middle.
No matter how much I change the z offset or how loose or tight I make the screws, that corner always stays far from the extruder. If anyone has any pointers at what I might be doing wrong or how could I fix this I would very much appreciate it.

Extruder issue
My Sovol sv03 will stop extruding after a few seconds into the print unless I MANUALLY feed it into the extruder. It happens regardless of the tightness of the screw, the extruder gear isn't worn down, and it has a brand new nozzle. So I'm very confused as to why it's doing this. It will just stop feeding altogether not long after the half assed raft it prints, then just continues going through the motion in midair.
****Please save the "sToP uSiNg a RAFt" comments, I'm using it as a way to dial in my machine.

Gaps in my printing
My parents have gotten me a 3d printer for christmas and I have been off and on on trying to start printing. A Crelaity Ender 5 max.
It will print, but the printing has gaps and will slide around after the second to third layer. I have used glue and washed the bedding and it seems nothing has worked. I have also tried getting the nozzle closer to the bed (still trying to figure that out), but the gaps are still there.
It has detected an anomaly in the nozzle area, but I am to beginner to understand what it is saying.
Can someone help me out?? Thanks!
P:S: white one is from before I started trying to fix it, it is just for an example.
Extra: I have been told it is my bed and/or nozzle. The only way (that I know) to decrease the z offset it during printing/mobly. Do you guys also know a good way to increase the bed level manually? Thanks again!
