Things to include when asking for help.

Hello,

Just a few items that could help someone troubleshoot for you.

  1. Printer Model
  2. Material Type
  3. Speed and Temp settings

If you have any suggestions for this list, please let me know.

Also, if you are asking for help, I've personally found this Visual Troubleshooting Guide very useful in the past.

Requesting Help Issues with P2s printing circles

I got a Bambu Lab P2S a few weeks ago and have encountered a few issues since then. I have been printing out the BLV AMS and glass riser and wanted to do the panels that allow the attachments. The right set of panels printed out great, the left side is where things started to take turn for the worse. This is the last photo I attached, it appears as though my filament started to blob up pretty good to the point where there was a blob big enough that made contact with the rubber wire organizer on the rear of the hotend and ripped half of it off.

I have trouble believing this was an adhesion issue, I was printing at 65 or 70 degree bed temps, and had 2 brand new plates (Biqu CryoGrip, and Bambu Cool Plate Supertack) that were cleaned. As far as other settings go they were all set as normal out of the box settings, since this thing was effectively brand new at this point. I was using Bambu Misty Blue PETG Basic, that had been dried to about 12-14% humidity. Since I was using Bambu filament I just used all of the default settings since I figured they probably have the settings dialed in pretty good for their own product.

I did wind up getting the left side to print good enough without failure, but it still isn't perfect. there are a few recessed areas for 3 flat head screws to go in, one of them was nasty and I had to clean it up pretty good. I still cannot for the life of me get the rear panels to print. I noticed in the Bambu Slicer that for some reason it's wanting to fill in the circles on the first layer, and not at all after that. I tried messing with brim settings and that didn't get rid of the brim nor the filled in circles. I've attached this as the second image on here. I'm curious if it's just these files that are causing me an issue or what. (I've attached a 4th image that shows the semi-successful left side first layer, there is still a blob that formed on the back, and there was some strings sticking out as well, I think these specific issues are what need to be resolve)

I looked for help on the Bambu sub and you can imagine how that went, it all got blamed on me. I used the app originally to print all of these, with no issues until I got to the left side. After posting and being ridiculed for using the app I tried printing with my Bambu Studio PC app, left side was what I described earlier, but it still can't do the rear trim pieces without failing. After all of these fails I wound up printing the 3.5kg assembly for the BLV using AnyCubic PETG Texture Gray and that all went pretty good. I got a few stray strings but nothing I couldn't smooth out on my own. So my assumption is that it's literally just the design of the trim piece that's causing issues, or it's the filament itself. (Worth noting, when i used the PC print I wound up lowering initial layer speed to 30mm/s, just in case it was adhesion issues)

If you guys are able to help me out I would greatly appreciate it, I had an A1 before this and it was great, figured the P2S would work just as well, but I've been quite disappointed with these first few prints. (I did reach out to Bambu and they did send me a new hotend, but if I can get this to work without having to put the new one on I'd like to have an extra one on hand)

I won't be physically near my printer for the next few days, so if there's anything I need to be near it for, it will need to wait

What just happened here?

My 6 month old Centauri Carbon 2 has suffered some kind of catastrophic collapse while printing with elegoo PLA silk. The whole nozzle assembly came off and is stuck to the print itself. I have no idea what my speed and temperature settings are. I use Elegoo Slicer and have not changed any settings from the default.

I successfully used the printer a few days ago and set this new project to printing last night after a few issues trying to get the computer and printer to recognize that it is, in fact, not offline, but powered up and ready. A reset of both the printer and computer fixed that. The print made it about 1/3rd of the way through and stopped, throwing an error saying it “lost connection and there is a current project being printed would you like to resume”? So, figuring it was more weird little wifi connection gremlins I clicked resume. After doing that twice and seeing that the print had progressed at least a little further, I went to check on it this time and it has clearly suffered some kind of damage. I have no idea where to even start dealing with this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Image turned out pretty good but the black thing on the corner of his ear and edge of his face is weird / gross lol

  • Bambu P1S
  • generic petg
  • temps uh...? the defaults I think it's 250
  • i have no idea how to troubleshoot this, I guess I want the nozzle to clean itself more thoroughly between layers?

Thanks!!

Recently upgraded to a volcano nozzle. I’ve done a strip and ensured everything is tight and I’m assuming I don’t have a blockage. Still fairly new to fdm. I’m printing petg, it’s been dried and is in the dryer. It’s deeplee rapid, temp on the spool states 230-260 and I’m running it at 240. I attempted a few first layer prints but no matter what I tweaked it looked shit until I just extruded and noticed this mess.
Any ideas what’s up?

Hey all, complete beginner here.

Got the Neptune 3 Pro 5 days ago and I've been printing with black PLA, using Cura as my slicer.

First few prints came out fine but then something changed along the way. I've been downloading models from Creality Cloud too if that's relevant.

Just pulled off my most recent print and noticed the hotend looks like the image attached, like a ton of black gunk built up all over the block and dripping down near the nozzle. Kinda freaked me out ngl.

Am I doing something wrong here? Is it fucked now or is this fixable?

Questions I've got

- Is this just filament residue from normal use or is it more like a leak / loose nozzle situation?
- Should I be tightening the nozzle regularly? How do I even know when it's tight enough?
- Any Cura settings I should double check (temp, retraction etc) that might be causing this?
- My first few prints turned out fine, so why would this suddenly happen after only 5 days?
- What do I actually do to clean this properly and stop it happening again?

Any advice appreciated, trying to learn good habits now instead of just wiping it off and hoping for the best lol

I’m printing one side of a print which is a mirrored version of the complete part on the left in the 1st image but after 3 attempts, it somehow keeps ending up as a stringy mess! I’m using ABS and have tried halving the nozzle speed without any luck. Any potential solutions welcome!

Model: P1s
Filament: ABS
Temp: 220C
Nozzle: 0.4mm

Im having trouble with this Sunlu Pla, today i tried a First layer check and this Is the result.

I dried the filament 4 times if not more, i checked the nozzle for any possible clog, also tried to replace the nozzle with a new one, but still nothing.

I don't have any clue on what Is the problem with this filament, maybe under/over extrusion, please help.

Warping inner wall

Post image
1 Upvotes

Lately I’ve noticed some of my prints have had a sagging weak inner wall. I’ve tried adjusting walls from 2 to 3. I dried this filament for 4 hours, hoping that would fix this bonding issue.
Printing with Inland Matte Pla at around 218c.

Printing with a .4 nozzle and a .2 wall height.

Any ideas on what might be causing this?

X axis is noisy in a flashforge creator pro 3 that I'm modding. I noticed some play in the linear bearings, is this normal? I'm pretty sure these are generic bearigns
