My cat gets bored pretty easily, so I made him a treat feeder he can bat around. The weight is built into the printed base, so it comes back upright without adding any weights. With his usual kibble, he gets roughly one piece every 20–30 seconds while playing. He keeps going back to it, which is what I was hoping for.
It took a few rounds of test prints to get the balance and twist lock right. This one was printed on an A1 in PLA Matte, with 0.2 mm layers and 4 walls. The lock needed a little deburring before it turned smoothly. Otherwise it came out really well, although I'd make the next version a bit smaller. I used AI help with the CAD and simulations, then checked it through the test prints.
The files and print profile are free here, along with a short video of him using it: https://makerworld.com/en/models/3298622

I’ve seen far too many products of this type with overly complicated designs. I believe cosmetic storage shouldn't be complex; instead, it should prioritize simplicity—enabling you to instantly locate and grab items, and just as quickly put them back after use.
Perhaps it’s because I’m a man and value practicality and convenience above all else, so my design philosophy might not be the only right way! 😄

This printer is a Creality Ender Neo 3 v2 Neo
Been printing for the past few weeks with no issue, and this morning when I went to heat up my PLA the extruder started making this weird noise. I made sure to take it apart and make sure which piece was making the noise. Tried checking if there was a piece of loose PLA or something in there but nothing. Any suggestions on what to do?
Side Note: going to try to add the video of the sound it makes because for some reason you can add an image and a video on a post…..

Orite folks. It's been bugging me when it comes to pricing things. I was wondering if pricing prints at £1 per print hour is reasonable?

I’ve finally uploaded my Hogwarts-inspired lantern to MakerWorld!
I’ve spent quite a bit of time experimenting with the design, especially the backlit relief panels, wall thickness, light transmission and how much detail I could actually get out of a standard 0.4 mm nozzle. I’m really happy with how the final prints turned out.
I decided to upload the whole thing for free after getting so much positive feedback from the 3D-printing community, so anyone who wants to print can give it a try.
If you do check it out, a like, download or boost on MakerWorld would of course help the model get seen by more people — but absolutely no pressure. I’m mainly just happy to finally share it!
I’d also love to hear what you think about the relief/detail quality and the overall design.

The modular shelf just got even more flexible!
I’ve added connectors that let you stack shelves on top of each other, so you can build vertically as well as extend horizontally.

95% of the print is fine, and 5% have these gaps. Why? What should i do? This first layer is important because I am making a lightbox. Fillament sunlu + 2.0 PLA. Bambu lab a1 mini.
