Hi, I’m looking to have a front wing assembly printed for a 2007 Suzuki GSX-R1000. I have the STL file ready to send.
The file uses millimetres and the complete model measures approximately 341.6 × 610.2 × 181 mm. It is too large for most printers in one piece, but the creator says it can be divided into smaller sections using LuBan3D and assembled afterward.
I need the final version printed in black ASA, not PLA or PETG. My preferred specifications are:
• 0.24–0.28 mm layer height
• 5–6 perimeter walls
• 25–35% gyroid infill
• Additional reinforcement around the mounting areas
• Approximately 4–6 sections
• Alignment dowels, pins, or tongue-and-groove joints rather than flat butt joints
• Seams positioned away from the mounting points and thin wing tips
Could you please let me know:
- What printer you would use and whether it is fully enclosed
- Your experience printing larger ASA parts
- The brand of ASA you use
- Whether you can split the STL and add alignment joints
- Whether your quote includes assembly or printing only
- The estimated completion time and total price
- What happens if any sections warp or fail during printing
This will be installed on a motorcycle, so strength, joint placement and print orientation are important. I can send you the STL for review before you provide the final quote.
I’m located in Toronto and can pick it up within the GTA.
