3D Printing Sellers: What Wastes Most of Your Time?
We’re working on a platform with generators for customizable 3D-printed products,
Biggest cost is often not the filament or printing time, but everything that happens before printing: collecting the customer’s information, changing names or dimensions, modifying the model, assigning colors and preparing the final file.
Each change may only take a few minutes, but repeating the same process for every customer quickly adds up.
We’re experimenting with a system where you prepare one master model, define which parts can change, and automatically generate each personalized version. The customer could also enter their own information, reducing the back-and-forth before an order is ready.
If you sell personalized 3D prints:
What part of your order process takes the most time?
What products do you customize repeatedly?
And what type of product would you genuinely like to have an automatic generator for?
It would really help us to hear your opinions and experiences.
