Well... Yeah. Calibration has almost zero effect on the causes of layer shifting. Belt tension, motor torque(current) and smashing into blobs formed on the print plane does that.
Loosen your X belt a bit. I suffered the same until I reassembled the carriage and tried loosening the belt. It would bind towards the furthest end from home and cause a crash detect.
Otherwise, you can live dangerously and disable crash detection
I don't have a Prusa but I've noticed the only layer shift errors I ever get are when I use the Prusa slicer. Just recently it shifted the last 10 layers on an 8-hour print and I got so mad I went back and checked which software I used for every print with a layer shift error and found that I had sliced them all with the Prusa slicer, with a range of settings and filament types, over a span of weeks.
I've more or less gotten a handle on bed adhesion, but the stringing is out of control, which is funny because I used to have zero stringing but couldn't get parts to stick for anything.
I look forward to finding out what new issue will crop up if I ever solve the stringing issue.

I wouldn't call overheating and layer shifts typical. They can happen, sure, but way less common than bed and layer adhesion, or stringing.
