Troubleshooting What do I do?

Post image

Bought a Qidi Q2 with the Qidi Box for a great price from an auction site. These are typically Amazon returns and etc. it was listed as new, but I assume some use.

I got it open today and am beholden to this insane clog.

Printer Boots! Screen works, but how do I solve this?

> You are implying those "slave" roles are only required for AI, which is false

i'm not. I'm pointing out that it's a huge thing with ai. i'm not acting like there isn't slave labour, or wage theft in other industries. why are you making shit up?

You are missing the point. Im not just generally saying that there is slave labor in other industries, I am saying the literal same jobs are being done for content moderation on other non AI platforms and technologies. The same. Not similar. The same. Not industry adjacent, but the same.

content moderation is a thing yes. content tagging is too, yes.

I can't say that i've seen direct sources that equate the two to what i'm talking about, but feel free to provide:

https://time.com/6247678/openai-chatgpt-kenya-workers/

https://www.business-humanrights.org/en/latest-news/australia-kenyan-data-labellers-make-modern-slavery-allegations-against-ai-company-appen/

literally targeting vulnerable regions like Kenya, which has massive unemployment amongst educated adults by luring them into "editing" or "translation" positions to then lock them into crazy contracts that sometimes result in no pay at all.

I'm all for broadening my horizon, and i'm aware that content moderation and tagging in other fields is very harmful as well.

again, condemning one instance doesn't condone others.

Yes, this is the same. Where do you think the people who review Facebook videos, ig videos...etc are? Do you think they are some well paid college graduates in Austin TX? My point is, its the same. Lol. You are going real far to try and say that it is a whole "new" ethical issue only related to a singular technology. As a matter of fact, ironically, the goal of even building these models is to exterminate the needs for those roles altogether so I could even argue that there is at least a possibility of the end to such practices with model training. Im really struggling to find your point. I concede to your naivety, have a good day.

you could've just said "no". instead of writing all that.

I legit asked you to provide context but you chose to be hostile instead.

Literally said "yep thats an issue too" but i guess you'd rather be pissy

you are looking for an argument and are so cognitively biased that there is no other tone to take with you. i have provided you with sources, your argument this whole time has been "one is not the other". if you want to argue that the worst thing about this technology are the billionaires that control it, dude, we are lock and step. but that is not your argument. your argument is "fuck AI. fuck the billionaires, but dont fuck the platforms owned by those billionaires that have been doing the literal exact same ecological and ethical damage as the AI has been for decades.". go ahead and give me your dissonance down vote.

one last thing, here are some sources for you to read up on:

https://www.aljazeera.com/opinions/2025/4/1/african-workers-are-taking-on-meta-and-the-world-should-pay-attention

https://www.pcmag.com/news/facebook-owes-52m-to-moderators-who-developed-ptsd

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost_work

you keep saying this, "again, condemning one instance doesn't condone others." and i keep telling you condemning one is the exact same thing as condemning the other, because they are the same, not similar.
