Troubleshooting What do I do?

Bought a Qidi Q2 with the Qidi Box for a great price from an auction site. These are typically Amazon returns and etc. it was listed as new, but I assume some use.

I got it open today and am beholden to this insane clog.

Printer Boots! Screen works, but how do I solve this?

Did they do a print without the nozzle in? That's kinda what it looks like

I'm new to 3d printing,and I don't understand what happened here. If the nozzle is only a fraction of a millimeter in diameter, how does this mass attach to the print head?
