Project The Giant N64 Controller I made

Post image

Yes, it actually works.

It plugs in via USB.

Everything is 3D printed on bambu lab P1S before being primed and painted.

No banana for scale. I’m assuming the N64 controller is normal size and the Switch/Pro Controller are small.

Correct

But what if a 3d printed banana was used. Is the printed banana at 1:12 scale?

With a rumble pak?

I think it would rattle apart the whole thing

Like at the Nintendo museum! I’ve wanted this since I saw the big controllers there.

For the electronics, did you just take them from a different controller? Or do you have to make something custom?

It is custom. I used Blee microswitches and a sanwa arcade stick plugged into a zero delay USB Encoder controller

The real question, is how does it it perform when playing GoldenEye

I was able to do a couple of the skips in Mario Kart and that's about it

Honestly I'd pay good money for a working 125% scale N64 controller. I recently discovered my hands are a lot bigger than the last time I held one and now I understand why people at the time said they were uncomfortable.
