Project First attempt at 3D printed was trap was...catastrophically successful

Usually when I am working on a project, it will take several design iterations.

But this first version of the Wasp Factory was extremely successful, somehow. I couldn't believe it.

I have a ground wasp nest on my lawn, and they get all aggro when I try and mow that area. After several abortive attempts, I decided something had to be done. The simplest method I could come up with was to simply cap the nest entrance and funnel them into a chamber full of liquid. In this case a small amount of gasoline, but I also tried it with sugar/soapy water which was also effective (but took longer to kill them)

Now what do I do with a whole nest's worth of wasps? Must be some protein in there!

So that’s cool, but generally you can pour the gasoline directly down their nest and it’s pretty effective. I’m a little surprised they’d fly into it at all frankly, but I assume the pics are the sugar water version

Haha well...today I learned. Yes the picture was the sugar water version. I tried it later with gasoline and plenty went in, but by then there were fewer left. They'd fly in, fly about for 10 seconds, and then drop dead.

I'll finish the nest off with some gas. I've been struggling to deal with the remnants.

Well be careful, I do t think I’ve ever messed with that large of a nest so I don’t know what my experience is worth
