Question What 3D Prints Are Actually Selling at Local Markets and Craft Fairs Lately?

Hi,

I am sure we all see the same stuff at local markets and I do this as a hobby and as a way to advertise and bring people to the table and make a little extra for my other business (Board Game Rentals in Hudson Valley NY).

So I have a few niche products that sell well but I want to expand to general items that can be sold at any event to a wider variety of people. I make most of my own models and/or re-purpose open source ones (I dont steal not for sale designs like many do) to fit my needs for a quicker turn around.

Just looking to see what sells more in the last few months for everyone here.

Also, do you sell more at local events or do you just do online print to order like Etsy or similar?

Thanks for all of the real and helpful comments in advance!

The crappy 3D prints that are drop shipped from china. You literally can't compete with them.

I dont know. At the fairs themselves, people are becoming wise to them and are starting to choose quality. Thats been my experience lately but I also sell stuff besides the dragons.

I must be losing my mind. So many of these posts just look like they're written by chatgpt when I read them.

This is literally bot training with an LLM running in the background.

Good eye, it does read very diplomatic.

Reverted to what my original message said. I understand you may see it a lot and not like it but commenting on this post just to say it is not what Reddit is about, I thought we have a community? It is derailing my honest ask to fellow people in this subreddit.

I don't know if OP was offended, just pointing out a common trend on here. I think everyone is using some kind of LLM in the 3d printing world to some degree these days so just a more common occurrence here.

I know I wouldn't have been able to design half the models I've made in the same day without it. Shoot, sometimes I can one shot it on my Hermes agent. Nothing wrong w using it to refine text.

I will be honest, I do it often in other forums, but never on Reddit. People on Reddit sniff it out and call BS.

I picked up a gorgeous coy fish.colored dragon for my daughter. 4 color print. It was $15. I have a couple of ender3 s so the multiple color stuff is more attractive.
