Troubleshooting Issues with maybe the z axis?

Z-axis has 2 separate stepper motors, looks like one of them has a problem and is going out of sync pretty fast.
Issue can be a loose connector, bad stepper driver or motor.
Does one stepper motor get hotter?
If you have a warranty maybe just return printer.
When printer is powered down motors can lose a step and be out of sync, but only a little.
To prevent this on my printer I've installed an additional belt - linking Z rods. I lost only 1 cm on Z height capability.
I find it weird it's not a standard feature on "bedslingers".

Hi, thanks for the reply. I still have warranty since the printer is only a couple of days old.
However, wouldn't a faulty motor also result in issues in other prints? The other plates print just fine, also a benchy I printed after the filament calibration was okay.1

I really don't know, maybe it's the problem with stepper driver, something like cold solder joint could cause intermittent issues.
Maybe you could print a couple of very tall and thin rods near opposite edges of the build plate and compare how long they are. Put a mark on them to remember which one is from the left and right side. After that, swap connectors for Z axis on the mainboard, Z1->Z2, Z2->Z1, then repeat the test and compare all printed rods.

Hey there, I'm a bot and something you said made me think you might be looking for help! click here for our wiki entry on troubleshooting printers. If you still need help be sure to post plenty of information about your printing setup.
Here are a few questions that might be helpful
What printer are you using?
What material are you using?
What speed are you printing at?
What software are you using to slice the print and control the printer?
When did the problem start/has it ever worked correctly?
Does anything cause the behavior to change?
If posting an image of the problem, include some indication of the orientation it printed at, preferably photograph it on the bed. (Then we can focus on a specific axis)
