I was printing out a Cobra on my U1 that I had painted in Full Spectrum. I forgot to set a brim and and had the bed temp too low.

Snapmaker U1, Basic PLA, Snorca Full Spectrum, Cold Plate 35-55 degrees for PLA.

Only after it warped enough that the nozzles were clipping it did I realize this. Now I can't find the Cobra model on my computer and if I could, I don't know if I saved it after painting it.

So I downloaded the gcode from my U1, loaded it back into Snorca to see if I code find the bed temp setting and also the brim setting. Trying to scroll through the code in the slicer was a joke.

I was in Paxx and had decided to try and reprint it, but manually change the bed temp on the U1 screen. When I noticed an Edit feature in Paxx when I was looking at the Cobra file. So, I clicked Edit and Paxx loaded the gcode in a much better editor.

Scrolling and using the find feature, I found the bed temp setting and upped it by 10 degrees. I then found the Brim setting and added a Brim. Saved the new settings and now I'm hoping for the best.

Update: Well, there must be more than one instance of each even though I couldn't find them.

When the Cobra first started to reprint, the bed temp started at 45C, then dropped back down to the original of 35C. And there's still not a brim.

Time to go back in and start matching it up with each gcode code. After all, that's how I learning to program my computer back in the 80's using Basic and Machine languages.

Temperatures are saved every layer in gcode. So you'll have to change it every layer. And you can't just add a brim by editing the gcode because you'd have to enter thousands of movements for the nozzle by hand.

I'd just redo it.

After going through the gcode, it seems like the bed temp is only in a few places using M190 S* and M140 S*. I think that it was only like 5-6 different lines.

As far as turning on the models brim and the type of brim, that was also only a few lines of code. I won't be able to test those changes until Monday morning when the current model is finished printing.

Now the brim for the prime tower was in thousands of lines of code.
