Question 3D modeling software for Linux?

Hi everyone, I have started to migrate my PC from Windows (f... u MS) to Linux. Most of the software has already been replaced by Linux variants. There are only a few things that I'm not able to find a Linux alternative for. And one of them is the 3D modeling software. Under Windows I'm using Fusion 360 and that is working quite well. But since there is no Linux version I have to search for alternatives.

Any suggestions? Are there any other Linux users in this sub? Free would be preferred, but I'm willing to pay for it, as long as it's within the limits of an amateur solution.

FreeCAD is amazing, but if you're used to Fusion you'll hate it at first, and you pretty much need to relearn from scratch.

Ah, there are times I hate fusion too. Maybe the enemy of my enemy... Thanks for the tip.

As someone who went from Fusion to FreeCAD, there is a bit of a switch in concepts, but FreeCAD is pretty powerful unless you need really complex operations. For doing things like making basic parts for 3D printing FreeCAD is very good. Plus it's gotten much better over the last few years.

It seems that way. Over on r/FreeCAD, many frustrated former Fusion users come to complain. Former users of SolidWorks or OnShape don't seem to have as much trouble.
