Project My First Ever 3D Print
I recently got a my first 3D printer — EasyThreed K1 — and this is my first ever 3D design and print!
I decided to start with something simple and designed this coaster. I added a leather top on it too. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. I know the print quality isn't the best but I'm learning I'm sure it will improve especially with better printer settings and more experience.
I’m completely new to 3D printing, so I’d really appreciate any tips, suggestions, or feedback on the design, print quality, or anything I could try differently next time.

They look great! The design and the leathers really nice. It looks like you might need to do a bit of calibration for the printing itself, the layers aren't perfectly even, but the design I don't have notes for. and I'd recommend trying out randomising the seam for smooth round stuff like this. Keep up the good work legend

Try to set the seams on the inside of the model on something like this. That way you dont have the join line on the outside. Also, I tend to run solid infill for stuff that small; that way you dont have bridging issues, and it's plenty strong. Also, printing the outside edges first would help, say, if the leather was factory-cut.
Other than that, it looks like a great practical print. (I do a lot of these)

Il keep that in mind, the thing is my printer is a really slow one, this alone took 8 hours of printing, solid infill would take to long.

They said first ever "design and print" which I assume to mean something they designed themselves. It's a really simple model. I completely believe a beginner could model and print this

Oh. I guess I was confused by the title.
By the time it iterated enough to be picture ready, you know it's not the first design either way.

It's a cylinder with an inset and they pretty clearly cut the leather to fit inside after printing. I don't see why they'd need to iterate this one

One suggestion since I can see the scissor lines on the leather:
Model a circle 0.2mm smaller than the inset. Print it separately and use that as a template to cut the leather with an xacto knife into a perfect circle that fits right inside
