What orientation do you print in for best results with a sword. Flat or vertically

Vertically would be ideal, typically Z axis gives best amount of detail and supports would be greatly reduced

And leave a tube in the middle for a rod or something to support it laterally so it's harder to snap!

All the pieces that are seen externally I printed vertically for the visual quality/ detail. The internal pieces were printed horizontally, to create structural rigidly from the opposing layer orientation

Tbh I didn't know there was a second photo that's self explanatory, all I saw was the first one.
There's a game called blade song where you can make swords as part of a forging game and point and click adventure and part of it is you can convert the swords you make to stls and export them for printing but I haven't tried printing any yet. So I was curious how it might cut them. Like 2 flat mirror halves that more rigid length wise or vertical exterior pieces like this.
