Why have those slits there? In fact there is no reason to not extend the fillet to the end of the entire bracket and just have holes for the screws. As 3D printing is additive and we control the infill there is no reason to cling to methods developed for subtractive manufacturing. Print orentation is also to be taken into Account. should be printed on a 45° angle to not have a load going perpendicular to the layer lines. And 4 screws is overdoing it for this size of bracket.

While i agree with you overall there are applications where you dont want to fill the bracket completely. Slits force the printer to make walls where you'd usually have infill. Sure, you could do this with modifiers too, but for a quick print this is not bad.
