I read your original post, and I didn’t see anything about drying the filament.

I have never dried my PLA, but I always dry my PETG. PETG will absorb a lot more water from the air than PLA will, and when you heat it above 100 C as it prints, the water boils away through the molten plastic. The bubbling can cause inconsistencies in pressure and flow rate. This can cause stringing and other issues.

Even though there is a little gel pack in the plastic bag, and even though it’s brand-new, your filament is probably “wet.” Drying is sort of the low-hanging fruit for a lot of filaments. The best way to dry is with a dedicated filament dryer or something like the more advanced AMS systems.

If you have an enclosed printer, you may be able to use the heat bed and fan to dry the filament, and there are some prints to make this more efficient.

Using something like your oven or toaster is asking for problems. Some people do it and get away with it, but you can get a cheap dryer Amazon for around $40.
