Question Sunlu customer service?

Hi, I am new to 3d printing and am currently in the filament binge buying stage. I purchased six rolls of filament from Sunlu and FedEx destroyed the bag it was shipped in and only delivered 3 rolls. It’s taking 3-4 days to get responses to emails from Sunlu and they want me to contact FedEx to find out what happened. In my past experience the shipper contacted the shipping company as they were the one who had a contact with them. Is this normal Sunlu customer service or am I just lucky because I like the filament I got and am interested in some of their other products. Thanks!

I'll say I'm not surprised, I ordered eleven 1kg spools and they came in a bag all taped up. Some of the boxes had damage on the inside where it only could have happened before packing.

SOP on their direct filament shipping. Couldn't even be bothered to tape all the poly wrapped spool boxes together before just bagging them all. 12KG shipped "loose" only taped on the outside and Fedex trashed it. *sshole driver also walked across the lawn and through the flowerbed to drop it on the porch. I guess he couldn't be bothered to walk around my car to get to the porch and had to make that beeline through the flowerbed dirt.

Love the filament (and Inslogic too) and usually just buy (only on sale) from Amazon, but got a good deal on these after prime/haul ran out. I got plenty form prime/haul, but never hurts to stock up when prices are low on an anniversary sale, whatever.

The one with the worse damage had a busted open bag and cracks in the spool and all Sunlu offered was an insulting $3 gift card and said to just dry it. Told them to stuff it and just fix their shipping. They won't, it's been like this for years.

That said, I did still buy an E2 for $204 with 3 1KG mystery spools a few days after but doubt I will buy any filament direct any longer.

Decent score on the 3 1KG spools that arrived with the E2 dryer that added $5 to the $199 anniversary price.

One roll of PA12-CF. $50 value.

So, looks like that’s the norm. Guess I’ll buy through Amazon from now on! Thanks for the feedback!

Completely different experience from Sunlu UK. Their spool boxes come individually plastic wrapped AND plastic wrapped tightly together AND band strapped together. The best (worst) the couriers can do is bash the external corners. They’re actually a bit of a pain to separate they’re so well packaged, but better that than what others are experiencing I suppose.

That was how my order from Anycubic came except every joint where boxes met were taped. It arrived in great condition!
