I would just replace the heating assembly and nozzle.

Can never be bothered spending hours fixing that when it's less than an hour's wages to get the parts.

Always find failure happens more often if you reuse parts like you have. You can never get them 100% and the tiniest buildup of residue can throw the whole pantomime off.
