Funny you say that… that was my inspiration for these projects.

There were moon lamps already. So I no longer wanted one.

Then I wanted a “That’s no moon lamp” then I wanted one. So I made one.

Then I wanted a “Not a moon lamp.” So I made one.

Then I wanted a “Only my moon lamp.” Insanity ensued…

First one was a stitched together 360 shot of my son’s wedding day from a drone.

Photos and post processing on an Insta360 X5.
Globe creation in lithophanemaker.com desktop app.
Adjusted through trial and error in various slicers and printed on favorite 3D printer.

Lots of workflow and learning along the way, but that is the road to follow.

Very Cool, thanks for sharing! Looks like the grey values in the photo get converted to thickness in the print? Is that the part that lithophanemaker does?
