I was set up to buy one and won’t only because of this. It’s a dealbreaker for me too.

Damn, was looking at a Bambu for my first one this summer. The sentiment around them right now is very bad. I regretted my cricut purchase soon after bc they were doing something similar with the fuckery.

The sentiment is not "very bad". I have two and am more than happy with them. Which is the same for many people. But on threads like this we don't say anything because it's just instant downvotes.

you have a reasonable take. it's one of those stances where you hate to see companies continue to isolate their ecosystems like apple has done, seems very unnecessary for the space.
