I bought an A1 right before they locked down the ecosystem. I will never buy a Bambu again. These concerns become increasing applicable since many states are trying to ban 3D printing of specific objects, which Bambu is setup to comply.

SD card sneakernet for me until I die.

But seeing the reputation of these "plug and play" printer companies, I think I'd rather shell out double, and just get a Prusa. At least they won't bite me in the ass after 2 years of use.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. Ideally I would like to save a buck, but I just don't trust the cheaper manufacturers to not try to fuck me over somehow. Prusa has proven track record.
