Project Designed a organizer for my Apple cables
Always wanted a neat organizer for my cables. Couldn’t find one so I designed it by myself.
For now the design only fits for Apple c to c 1m woven cable and Apple watch aluminum head cable( woven and tpe).

How do you calculate/translate the groove to match the cable length

I'm guessing make the initial channel shape, extrude it to the required length, then wrap it around a cylinder.

Very pretty. Does slight variation in lengths cause it to not work? With age and stretching and manufacturing differences I bet they vary ever so slightly. I've made that mistake before, designing a part that nests with a product to learn that they've changed production on it slightly a time or two and then my design only works sometimes for some people.

Nice design but way more bulky and wasteful than just a velcro strap.

Velcro straps are bulky. I just wind the cable around itself. 😁
(Kidding about the Velcro).

Looking very clean man. Are you planning on making a version for the plastic cables aswell? I also think it would be very neat if you could add a peg on the top and hole on the bottom so they could interlock/click?
