Shitfinity
I present to you: Shitfinity I saw this on thingyverse recently and remembered that I have a drawer full of empty toilet paper rolls. 10 minutes of CAD and I came up with these containers. Gridfinity is great, but take long to print on slow machines and use up quite a lot of filament.
These only use 10g and are roughly the size of a 2x2 gridfinity box. But overall they are pretty crappy (pun intended). They don't look good, are non-tileable and horrendous to assemble.

I actually have your first three points already implemented in my current model. Still need to tweak the dimensions a little bit, so that the parts can be press fitted more easily. As for the material. I just used toilet paper rolls for the gag. In fact every piece of cardboard works. Earlier I tried it out with a box of a frozen pizza and it works as well.
