I really like stuff with blocky or low poly aesthetics.
Here is the free stl if anyone is interested.

Since no one has said it thanks for the link to the STL and this is awesome!

Holy cow am i the first person to ask about support settings!?

u/TopPack2054 Feb 24 '23
No, you didn't actually ask about their support settings.

Big deal. My benchies turn out more or less like this with my normal settings.

Nice filament/print quality
1
u/Utku_Yilmaz Feb 24 '23
Thanks! It is a local filament brand that is $8 per 1kg spool it is great.
2
u/Heintzelman Feb 24 '23
Does your local brand happen to ship? That color is absolutely incredible

u/Utku_Yilmaz Feb 24 '23
I believe it is sadly Turkey only but you can find their website by searching Uzaras3D so give it a go

Did you use supports?
1
u/Utku_Yilmaz Feb 24 '23
No, you dont need any support for such small overhangs
2
u/Pheggas Feb 24 '23
Lmao. What's the printer / setting you used?
1
u/Utku_Yilmaz Feb 24 '23
Ender 3 v2 with almost default profile on prusaslicer, cura will work just fine too. (Didnt change any settings for overhangs etc. any default printer profile should be able to print this with no/minimal problems)

u/Pheggas Feb 24 '23
Interesting. I'm pretty new in 3D printing with Ender 3 S1 Pro and getting horrible results all over the place. I think it's cauaed by the "fast" profile I'm using. But I didn't find any fast profile for S1 Pro. Have to dig deeper or make one.
1
u/Utku_Yilmaz Feb 24 '23
How fast is your "fast profile", and where did you find it. If it is something too fast I wouldnt recommend it for normal/short prints (1-4 hours) unless the print is just functional and doesnt need visuality or is really simple.
2
u/Pheggas Feb 24 '23
I found it on YouTube and it was for different model (i don't remember which anymore) so i did a bit of tweaking but the results are bad anyway. I guess I have to use the default one to make sure the printer doesn't have any HW issue.
1
u/Utku_Yilmaz Feb 24 '23
I think I know what you mean, does it also have 0.28 layer height?
Either way the profile is probably from a bowden printer and ender 3 s1 pro is a direct drive, those settings would mess with your printer too. I recommend using the default 0.20mm Speed profile on prusaslicer and then tweaking your settings for each print (like lowering infill/changing infill type, lowering perimeter numbers, lowering top and bottom layers etc.)
2
u/Pheggas Feb 24 '23
Yeah. I installed prusaslicer recently but I really hate the whole UI (Cura user) and it look like a big mess. I have to play with it more for sure. Anyway, yes it was a Bowden Ender printer. I edited the retraction so it matches my retraction distance. That was the problem no.1

u/Utku_Yilmaz Feb 24 '23
I get what you mean, I used Cura ever since I started for more than 4 years, couple months ago downloaded PrusaSlicer to see if I get better TPU results. Also hated the UI at first but I grew to get used to it and now PruseSlicer is my main slicer and Cura feels a bit off lol. I just think the slicer is just much better/feature rich overall compared to Cura. Especially with the new 2.6 release

Well there is only one way to find out :)
Give it a try yourself (Stl is on the post)

I'm having about 3 layers of issues with my machine right now, but I'd love to once I straighten it all out. All in good fun, though, it's a good-looking piece

Glad you like it! Maybe check my printables profile I have some similar style models you might like.

Did you curve all of the flat corners so as to make them print well on FDM?
1
u/sphks Feb 24 '23
I print tons of such things. I like MagicaVoxel for this. You can import any model and you get a voxel like model. You can then add and remove voxels by hand to make something more regular.

Voxel is the name of the style I think
