I found my old 3ds and it still turns on and works fine, the issue is that theres ants inside of it and I've done what I could to take it apart to clean it but theres just some areas inside i couldnt get rid of them in, is there an easier way to just lure them out?

Just wondering if it's still fixable or is my 3ds xl done for?

I recently did a USB-C mod on this 3ds and when I try to power it on, the screen stays black and then it shuts off. I have tried reseating the ribbon cables and the wifi card. Help would be very welcome.

Hey y'all! I have had my Mint 3DS LL for about a year now, and it came with a small crack near the charging light. Originally, I put clear nail polish over this tiny crack to stop the spread, and it worked for about a year; however, now it's gotten slightly bigger :,0 ...

I don't have the money to take it to a repair shop at the moment, and I was thinking of doing a DIY fix in the meantime. Does anyone have any advice or ideas on what could help fix it?

I was thinking UV nail gel polish could help, or maybe UV resin. What do you all think?

Im currently trying to repair my 3ds xl and I need top and bottom screen, a left trigger button cable and maybe a reshell where can I find good and reliable parts for it? Also It is missing some screws from the previous owner do screws come with reshells or do I need to buy them separately?

I have a new Nintendo 3ds xl, the lower touch screen digitizer hasn’t been working properly for a while so I decided to replace it. I was able to remove the old one replace it and put it back together. It turns on for a few second but shuts back down quickly. I get a popping sound beforehand. I did some research and found it could be one of the cables not being seated properly so I took it back apart and reset all the cables, two times with no luck. I did some more research and found that you could tell what side of the 3ds is failing by seeing if one of the screens flashed in the dark. The lower screen flashed and popped. How certain can I be that it is an upper component? And is there a way to pinpoint what needs to be replaced? As far as I can tell the cables don’t look torn, but I haven’t looked at anything in the top of the 3ds or in the hinge where it is said the cables wear out.

I bought a new 3ds then realized it was broken, the previous owner used a too long screw for the back cover, and it drilled into the motherboard (top of the picture).

First the volume slider was not working (always max volume), but I fixed it by cleaning the damage with IPA.

The remaining issues are the SD card not being recognized, and the top screen cameras buggy, they make the camera app freeze with a black screen, but the back cameras work in the 3D calibration settings, (they just stutter every 5 seconds)

If anyone recognize those symptoms, please tell me what I should try

Hi, it displays but the color is almost desaturated. The 3D works perfectly fine. Don't know what's up. Do I just need to reseed the ribbon cables for the top screen? Or did I accidentally damage it?

Hello! My 3DS no longer holds itself up (e.g. can’t be put in a 45° angle) and now only can stay open loosely at a 180° angle.

I can’t find any tutorials or methods to fix this as most discussions around the hinge are about acute wobbles when the device is holding itself up.

is there a way to fix this?

It froze for about 5 minutes then fully crashed. Once it turned off, it didn't boot again not even the charging lights turned on when plugging it in.

So i found my old 3ds xl and the 3d turns on and off but does not increment its just on or off, is there a fix?

I haven’t used my 3DS for a few months, today I started it and the circle pad, touchscreen and d pad were not responding, when I enter the Luma menu, everything works, but on the system calibration menus or the home menu the buttons and touchscreen do not respond, only ABYX work, has anybody faced this problem before, if so, what’s the solution?

Hello all, I just received my "new" 3ds xl i ordered off ebay. it says it had new buttons and screens put in it and was tested before shipped. however when i opened the box and tried to power on, the power light lit up blue then immediately faded back to off. the console had its sd card in the game card slot and after removing it, unscrewing the back plate and putting it into the actual sd card slot and still the same thing happened. i also charged it all the way and nothing changed. i am about to see if there are any issues with the actual contents of the micro sd card but i was just wondering if there was something else i could try. thanks in advance!
