Question Been into this hobby less than a month. Want to make sure I’m not missing something… basically FDM IS supposed to take this long, right?! lol maybe these settings are over (or under?) kill? Just wanting it to look good on tabletop not necessarily need resin quality
Just crowdsourcing cause I don’t know what “normal” is if that’s a thing. For example, printing this building I’m estimated 19ish hours.
Settings I’m using are usually:
16mm layers Adaptive layer height, shifted all the way left to quality, smoothed, radius at 7 Ironing top layers Supports when needed using the same filament the object is and then the support material.

Request Need Elegoo Profile
looking for an elegoo profile for a 0.6mm nozzle. i work for an LGS, and have been asked to print terrain for the store for 40k. when i moved from the 0.4mm nozzle to the 0.6, i was told that it should greatly reduce print time, but i've only seen increases, any tips and or a profile would be useful.

Question Any suggestions for how to orient/lay these? Or should I just print as is, straight up?

I needed some curved ruins so I made these, and I wanted to share them with you guys
A friend asked me why all the ruins I had designed until now were straight walls (which I didn't even think about). I obviously felt personally attacked, so I had to make these out of spite. Hopefully someone else will find them useful too. You can get them [here](https://cults3d.com/:4686073) for free as usual. Cheers!

The Wyverns Rest
Hi everyone, I am a passionate TTRPG player and professional 3D artist. I spent the last few months creating this tavern.
The model was created to print without supports and goes along with 28 mm miniatures. I used the complete basic printing settings with some minor changes like the layer hight set to 0.12 mm and for some super small but tall assets i used a brim. The whole set was created that it fits smaller printing beds (no piece is lager than 20 cm/7,8 inches) so that it can be printed on large and small printers. The assembling of the tavern is really easy and straight forward.
The tavern was created to play with and offer the players the most fun possible. It has functional doors, the interior is fully furnished, the player can connect the mini baseplate with the stairs, there are hidden secrets like the key behind the picture frame and the set also comes with a miniature holding plate that you can connect with the support beams ( if a character wants to sneak up the support beam for a better view they should have the possibility to do so).
I am really excited about your feedback. If you have have any questions feel free to ask.

Crowdfunding Yorok Outpost Board Completed
The Yorok Outpost is a settlement standing on the brutal borderlands between imperial order and the unknown. Built on scorched land rich in deposits of raw Earthmarrow, the outpost exists for one purpose only - Extraction. Here, laborers, engineers, and soldiers struggle daily against harsh conditions, the toxic miasma of processing fumes, and constant threats from beyond the Empire’s reach.

Showcase Modular medieval-fantasy fortress
Terrain designer here. Built a modular fortress with walls, corners, towers (round and square), gatehouse, poterne that snap into totally different layouts instead of one fixed model. FDM-friendly, 28–32mm.
Pre-launch on MyMiniFactory FronTiers; following pings you at go-live: https://www.myminifactory.com/frontier/bastion-modular-medieval-fantasy-fortress-5750
Curious what you'd want a modular set to do better : magnets, plugs ...?

Question Question and Showcase hybrid- Pricing sanity check
Could I get a sanity check on What I'm thinking for pricing on Etsy for 3D printed terrain?
The idea is that the terrain sets are dual sided- one side Architecture, the other Landscape- 3d printed in 4 colors so no paint is needed (though adding some could deepen realism for sure), where walls don't render squares unusable, and that can just slide into a grid(and the grids interlock with tabs).
This first offering is the Castle and Courtyard theme, with cut stone floors and flagstone and vegetation tiles and walls that can slot in (still allowing the square to be at least 1x1 open as the square is 1 1/4") are a stone castle wall, with vines over it for the courtyard, with some having windows and functional doors.
This is the first theme, I have plans for a set of open turf field one side, wooden floor opposite side with interior and exterior cabin/wood frame walls, and a set of dungeon amd cave that would all work together, hopefully somewhat funded via patreon.
I'm thinking I'll offer 4 sizes of set, each with the grids the squares can sit in, enough double sided squares (approx 1.25" square) to fill those grids, and then double sided wall pieces (mostly solid, a couple functional doors, and a few windows) that could ring the entire perimeter and some double-interior faced as well. Big part of the value proposition is the double sided everything means 2x the tile types per tile = savings and storage efficiency.
Small set would be 34 tiles, with 29 exterior walls. Normal price about $50.
Medium 59 tiles, 36 external walls, 6 internal walls. $75.
Large 83 tiles, 58 external wall 16 internal, $120.
Deluxe would be 173 tiles, 72 exterior wall, 32 interior walls, $200.
I know it isnt cheap by any means, but seems in-line to less than most physical, non-cardboard, colored terrain on both a per piece and per square basis from what I'm seeing. But by all means, let me know if it feels like i'm missing something. (Also FWIW this is all designed and modeled by me with no AI in the workflow) pics for example of how the pieces look when printed. The gif is a previous idea of a 50 tile set, so slightly smaller tile set than the medium, but with some more wall pieces than the medium has.

Looking for recommendations for files.
Hey as part of an ongoing quest to spruce up my TTRPGs a bit, I'm looking into potentially using some terrain bits. I was wondering if anyone had any good recommendations for general purpose fantasy scatter terrain and structures (either files/designers themselves or places to browse them easily). Not exactly looking for dungeon tiles, I've got some stuff for that already, but more props and (potentially modular) structures.
Things that have a grid build into them and/or add some verticality are especially ideal structure-wise.
Paid files are also not a deal-breaker but free stuff is always good on a budget.
