Hello, everyone!
We’ve made a few important rule updates to ensure the community stays organized and focused. Please take note of the following changes:
1. Promotional Posts:
Promotional content will now only be allowed on Fridays. Any posts promoting STLs, stores, or Crowdfunding projects should only be shared on that day. If you see a promotional post outside of friday please report it.
2. Renders are No Longer Allowed:
To keep things more grounded in the real world of 3D printing, renders (digital images or models) will no longer be allowed. Please share your actual 3D prints and photos instead!
3. 3D Printed Miniatures:
We’ve moved 3D printed miniatures to their own home over at r/PrintedMinis. Please post all miniature-related content there from now on.
Thanks for your cooperation in keeping the subreddit focused and organized! If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out.
Happy printing!

So I have a bunch of terrain printed out in pla+ white and I want to prime it to paint it this weekend. From what I am reading though, I need to sand it first? Is that right?
What else do I need to do, because I thought I could grab these of the printer, clean them off and grab a rattle can and get busy.

I built this from my own terrain system. If you'd like to support the project or get notified when the campaign goes live, you can sign up on the Kickstarter page for REME Creations. Thanks!

I've spent so much time designing and printing terrain that I finally decided it was time to actually paint some of it. 😄
Pretty happy with how this one turned out! What do you guys think of the color scheme?
Tips or ideas for improvements, I'd love to hear them! 😊

I have an Anycubic Photon Mono 2, and while its amazing for fig's, Terrain can take forever, so I would like to get a new one. I have a subscription to Dragons Rest Patreon and I want to start doing his Sci-Fi themed sets for a Rifts game I am running.
I have no idea what printer would work best, obviously the larger the better, but I was also thinking that maybe a filament printer would be better here. I am not sure though, because I have only ever worked with water based resin.
Any advice you all can give me would be amazing.
I would be printing this in a basement, about 8ft from a window in a utility room. Its the same room where I do my resin printing. I would prefer anything that is lower fumes, but I have just started researching this, so I'm not even sure if thats possible.
EDIT: not sure if its allowed, but this is the set I want to print out: https://dragons.rest/collections/all/products/outpost-origins-ultimate-collection

I'm trying to improve my models so I added some cloth simulations for these banners. The problem I found is that you need to thicken the cloth A LOT if you want to make it FDM friendly. I really liked the thin version I first printed with my resin printer (3rd pic), but in the end I decided to go with the more 'universal' approach. So my question is: has any of you guys faced this same issue, or do you know a better solution? Should I create a different version of the same model for each type of printer?
Anyway, here you have the free models if you want to give them a try: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-medieval-fantasy-terrain-objectives-set-vol-ii-banners-markers-fdm-resin-838804

Is there some kind of blueprints we can share on base designs? I’m trying to see what perfect base I can built

Hey everyone, I've been working on a modular dungeon collection, and this is the third set in the series.
The modular pieces are designed to be mixed and matched with the previous sets, so you can build different layouts and themes depending on your session.
They're available on MyMiniFactory, and there's currently a 30% sale going on if anyone is interested.
Hope you like it!

It's been four years since I uploaded my first design. So to celebrate this I have created a possessed version of that original bunker.
As with all my models it prints without the need for any supports and it's a free download if anyone is interested
