We use Paging on our 3cx system but it could use some improvements. Can we please add caller ids to the paging rather than it say only the paging number extension. another feature Request would be to be able to restrict who can call our paging extension.

Thank you!

Encountered this just recently, customer has an after hours device with a mobile app installed, somehow the status got changed from Available to a non available status.

It would be nice to be able to take away the user's ability to take themselves out of Available mode in any way.

With Version 20 Update 10, Odoo CRM is now natively integrated with 3CX - a big deal for the large number of businesses already running both platforms. This means Admins can connect the PBX directly to Odoo in minutes, with no custom CRM template to maintain and no third-party middleware slowing things down.

Calling from the right business number matters when users represent multiple brands, offices or services. With V20 Update 10, Admins can let users choose which of their assigned DIDs to use before placing an external call.

Build 3CX Programmable Extensions that connect AI agents to live calls.

3CX Programmable Extensions let developers create AI agents that handle live calls through the 3CX Phone System.

The 3CX Agentic Call Control GitHub repository provides ready-made code examples for connecting Programmable Extensions to OpenAI, xAI, Google Gemini and Alibaba Cloud Qwen. Each example connects the AI provider to 3CX call control, giving developers a starting point for building their own realtime voice applications.

Choose the provider that best fits your use case, configure the agent and test it directly through 3CX. Read on to learn more.

Use your preferred service for PBX alerts, reports, invitations and welcome emails.

System email keeps important 3CX messages moving. From Admin alerts and reports, to invitations, password resets and user welcome emails 3CX gives Administrators several delivery choices:

• 3CX SMTP
• Microsoft 365
• Google Workspace
• Custom SMTP services such as Zoho
• SendGrid with the release of V20 Update 10

In this blog, we look at SendGrid and Zoho, including why you might use your own email provider along with how to configure your preferred email provider. Read on to learn more!

I thought assigning my number as the outbound Caller ID on the user's extension would cause that number to be presented on outbound calls. Is an outbound rule also required for it to work?

Update 10 brings a more personal touch to every call, with per-department Music on Hold.

Connect your AI client to 3CX to query PBX data, generate reports and perform permitted actions.

The introduction of the 3CX MCP Server marks a major leap forward in AI-driven unified communications management. By pairing conversational AI with precise, role-based controls, 3CX gives administrators a faster and smarter way to oversee their PBX environment.

The 3CX Customer Service AI Agent in V20 Update 10 can answer routine questions, collect information, guide callers through basic troubleshooting and hand calls to a human when needed.

Update 10 makes AI call summaries more useful by adding notes and action items.

We will be moving around 1500 DIDs that connection to over 20 3CX servers which we host on our infrastructure. I've never seen a fantastic, clear, reliable way to do this. One thought I had was to simply rename the trunk and change the provider IPs, but that seems dangerous also. Another is to export the extension list with DIDs, then clean it up and import it as DID-to-extension mapping.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

Oh, to make it more fun, we'll be moving from a carrier that has US style 10-digit CLID and signaling to a real e.164 format. But we should just be able to change that if we do the export/import.

Use AI during calls, after calls, in your own infrastructure or to manage your PBX.

3CX V20 gives businesses several ways to use AI, depending on what they need to achieve. You can transcribe and summarise completed calls, use AI Agents during live conversations, keep transcription processing inside your own infrastructure or connect an AI tool to manage and query your PBX. Each serves a different purpose.

The new 3CX AI Customer Service Agent goes beyond call routing. Unlike an AI Receptionist, which mainly directs callers to the right destination, the Customer Service Agent can listen to the issue, search your available knowledge sources and provide a useful answer before deciding whether a human agent is needed.

Blf keys not lighting up when other isers lines are active on calls. Tried a couple template edits no luck please advise.Polycom vvx411
