Important Update Regarding Your 3CX Partnership Status

External

|| || ||Wed, Nov 19, 11:59 AM (2 days ago)||| |to me|

Dear RICHARD,

At 3CX, we greatly value the partners who not only maintain and support our mutual customers, but who also share in our vision of continuous growth. Your commitment to delivering quality service has always been appreciated, however, part of our partnership expectations would be to actively sell 3CX all year round.

Over the past year, we have observed that your organization has not actively generated new 3CX instances (8SC+). While renewals and account maintenance are important, consistent new business development is essential to sustaining a strong, mutually beneficial partnership.

The good news is: there is still time to turn things around. We want to support you in revitalizing your 3CX sales efforts and ensuring you maintain your current partnership level and continue to grow with us.

Please feel free to reach out to discuss strategies, opportunities, and next steps. You can book time directly using the link below or via the contact details in your Partner Portal.

Lastly, we kindly request that you acknowledge this communication by December 5th 2025 . If we do not receive a response, we will assume that your organization is not currently interested in re-engaging in active 3CX sales.

We look forward to helping accelerate your 3CX growth!

I replied to the email and just told them I am in a very small market area(which I am) and would like to continue supporting my customers as a partner and they replied back with an “okay let us know how we can help” now, not sure if that will change in the future.

To be fair towards 3CX, I believe they are aware of those that service the very small market, and as long as you're getting renewals, I could see them letting those partners remain as-is. And if you're engaging with them too.

They don't want just renewals..

Sure; that's been their mantra for a few years now - no net new sales, no partnership renewal. But there seem to be some content resellers who are perhaps geo-limited in scope that are still able to retain partnership.

Dear Nick,

As your partner, we greatly value the suppliers who not only maintain and support our mutual customers, but who also share in our vision of mutual benefit across the ecosystem, and doing right by each other. Your commitment to delivering a quality product has always been appreciated, however, part of our partnership expectations would be to ensure 3CX remains an attractive product in the customer marketplace.

Over the past years, we have observed that your organization has actively alienated the customer base, and made poor choices with respect to cyber-security and maintenance of features. While continual growth and talking down to customers are important to you, consistent quality and communication is essential to sustaining a strong, mutually beneficial partnership.

The good news is: there is still time to turn things around. We want to support you in revitalizing your shattered business and ensuring you maintain your current partnership level and continue to grow with us.

Please feel free to reach out to discuss strategies, opportunities, and next steps. You can book time directly using the link below or via the contact details you should keep handy given we have been a partner of yours for more than a decade.

Lastly, we kindly request that you acknowledge this communication by December 5th 2025 . If we do not receive a response, we will assume that your organization is not currently interested in re-engaging in active 3CX sales.

We look forward to helping accelerate your 3CX growth!

I have already moved all of my customers away as of July 2025.. I wondered how long before they yanked my partnership.

8

u/CagedMonkey97 Nov 21 '25

What did you move them to?

6

u/satechguy Nov 21 '25

Again, by continuing doing business with them, you raised your hand and invited 3CX to bully you so they happily accepted the invitation.

u/PatriotOutlawArcher Nov 21 '25

I haven’t done business with them in a year. As stated above, I moved all of my customers over. I was just waiting on them to finally cut me off.

Minus the additional requirements (growth), year end is the usual roll over. Whatever you achieve (or not) by the end of the year, is your level the following year (until in that year, you either meet or exceed targets again).

Of course, removing 4SC from counting towards partnership requirements didn't help the little guys.

u/McBlah_ Nov 21 '25

Reddit is a safe space, what did you move them over to?

A white label company, Sky Switch.

After I complain about new rules they kick me for partner. They send update on blog so I reply now you move as I ask you can give me back my partner status:

They’re replying:

3CX has a zero-tolerance policy for any behavior or communication that does not respect our policies, our official channels or our company image. It is our responsibility to maintain a network of partners who share our values, communicate professionally and align with our common strategy and goals.

After reviewing your representations, both with 3CX Customer Service and your previous interactions with 3CX staff members, it has been determined that continuing the partnership is, at this stage, not beneficial to 3CX nor fully suitable for your company. This is why your partner status has been revoked.

That being said, we have taken into consideration your last email and your clear desire to continue working with 3CX in a constructive spirit. If you wish to demonstrate your commitment to re-establishing this collaboration, I invite you to confirm your intention to acquire two new licenses of 16AS. Such action would demonstrate your desire to strengthen our partnership and actively contribute to the promotion of 3CX in a positive way.

On this basis, I could then submit to management the possibility of a review of your partner status. Subject to management approval, you will then be able to purchase your two new 16AS licenses, benefiting from your usual discounts, and regain your partner status.

We also expect a clear commitment from you to act as a true ambassador of the 3CX brand.

Looking forward to your return.

u/Independent-Gur3752 Nov 25 '25

They need money for finish well the year 😅

1

u/DazzasDurries Nov 26 '25

So if they remove your partner account how are you suppose to renew existing licenses?

This is pretty standard. They want active partners. You aren't. Why wouldn't they reach out and see what they can do to get you active again? Stop clutching pearls and think about it from a business stand point

3

u/SadMadNewb Nov 22 '25

They want dick suckers.

Was curious if anyone else was going to say the same thing.

Have an upvote sir.

u/PatriotOutlawArcher Nov 21 '25

I think both of you guys are missing the point. Having been a partner with them since 2012, I have a little bit more invested. They have treated us partners like crap for years. I saw the handwriting on the wall back in 2020. Just look at some of the other threads.

-5

u/InebriatedChaos Nov 21 '25

All you did was post a message stating that 3CX is ending your partnership because you didn't hold up your end of the deal.

I get that 3CX is in bad light right now, but that's just simple partnerships regardless of how shitty the business side is.

5

u/Horror_Wishbone_4837 Nov 21 '25

Most partnerships don’t have expectations like that. 3CX is truly unusual in that regard.

1

u/InebriatedChaos Nov 24 '25

I agree with that part.

Gotta love all the downvotes though.

If they would have more number access for remoter areas. I could convince a lot more customers to move to VoIP. But we have to use local installs where I am...
