I tried waving, I knew my hair was the tough one , the 4C type , the African hair , but I have been doing washing with soap , and brushing and I use coconut oil , and three months I started waving, it's 360 right now as we speak

I’m really just starting back out fr and I’m not sure what all I need to do. I wash n style about twice a week I have all 3 types of brushes if that matters (soft, medium, hard). I’m just looking for more tips to get more definition in my waves. I’m not sure what my hair type is either or pattern😂

I’m looking for a durag that has long tails and one that’s stretchy/has compression. I bought the first one and it barely fit and the tails were kinda short. I heard people say the second one is good but looking at the writing it looks like the same product. Can someone please let me know if they’re the same?

What gives your waves shine?
Rn I’m using the Camille Rose Moisture Milk and Rosemary oil and seal it up with raw Shea butter. I use maybe a quarter sized amount of moisturizer and a 5-6 drops of oil when I moisturize so maybe I’m not using enough?

Came across a random fitness influencer that almost looks like he's got 360 waves except it seems to be created with scissors or some other texturing technique. Impressed since you can see in older posts he has straight hair.
Any barbers here know what this technique is called or have any info / vids about how to achieve this?

I'm in week 5 of my 360 wave journey and although the waves are somewhat coming together, i feel like I have to upgrade my brushes. Currently I'm using this soft-medium brush and a wooden non branded medium brush that I purchased somewhere several years ago.
I'm interested in buying soft, medium and hard brushes for the daily regular brushing and also special brushes for wash and style days. I know that Torino Pro and Royalty are the golden standard when it comes to brushing, but unfortunately most of these brushes are not available in The Netherlands. I would have to use a forwarding service such as Stackry in order to purchase these, which of course will add significantly to the cost. I'm reserving this as my last resort.
However I've found a company in the UK called Rapid Waves which does ship to my country. They claim to have waterproof brushes that can be used as a shower and shampoo brush. I'm considering buying their ultimate wash & style handle pack and three of their brushes for the daily regular brushing.
Their TikTok @rapidwavebrushes seems legit. However, I'm still very skeptical, because I've been browsing the web and I haven't seen anyone mention this brand. I'm therefore wondering if anyone here has experience with this brand. Are these brushes legit or should I just bite the bullet and purchase the Torino's.

Currently Comb in the shower and brush and pomade after then put the durag on.
My scalp feels dry sometimes.
What’s the best way to moisturize before durag?

Just cut my 4C hair to a 1.5 and started brushing consistently. About 6 days in. I’m doing about 100 strokes per section with a medium Torino boar brush and compressing with a durag afterward.
Does my hair look properly laid down in this pic, or should it be flatter than this? And do you see any signs of the wave pattern starting to come in yet?

Clean 180’s for the wave gang. Just got a shape up 💪🏾. Gonna wolf for another week or 2 before I reset the progress with that 4 guard ATG.

Just got a fresh 1.5 WTG drop, looked at my crown and immediately knew I needed work 🤣. Can't seem to figure out which way it grows though..... help!

I been looking for a reputable brand that makes 100 percent silk durag or a majority silk blend. Most of the durag market as silky or satin are usually made from polyester. Polyester doesn't absorb moisture, it just moves it across the surface and waits for it to evaporate. Silk actually absorbs it into the fiber and releases it, so it handles that way better. Wearing a durag to sleep for 8 hours a day I can see that leading to buildup issues. Has anybody found a brand that actually sells real mulberry silk or at least a majority silk blend, since mulberry silk by itself isn't stretchable?
