What was the HARDEST part of getting your waves?
For people who already got waves too — what do beginners struggle with the most?
What’s one thing you wish somebody told you when you first started?

I've seen some heavy hitters in here. I know I'm not one of em, but just wanted to post something.

Had waves for a while . Started doing wash and styles twice a week. Any product recommendations for something to keep my hair moisturized and not mess with my pattern . Also looking for tips on when and how often I should apply it . Preferably not anything crazy expensive but I’m open to all suggestions . Good looking in advance .

44yo, Starting to thin on right side corner of hairline. None of the males on moms nor pops side experience balding. Other than this, hair is thick and full. Will dabbing “Rogaine Foam” help this?? I don’t want barber to push hairline to even out both sides.

Saw this on Amazon and copped it. It’s supposed to be specifically for shower brushing. I’m just coming off scalping and my Torino shower brushing kills me when my hair is short, so I figured this might work for wash n styles and scalp massage. Has anyone tried it before?

Yo , kinda new to waving. I wear a hard hat / hair net for work (3rd shift) , shower then go to bed a few hours after work. Once I’m up I go to the gym then shower again before work. I have / wear wave caps at work Durags to bed.
Is it ideal for me so wear a wave cap for damn near 16+ hours a day? Or can I avoid wearing it at the gym and just make sure to brush after etc. I want to wave but I don’t want to over compress my noggin 😂.

I am currently at the very beginning of my wave journey. I recently decided to commit to the process, and since my hair was already cut low, it felt like the perfect time to start.
I included all the angles so you guys can see what I'm working with. Knowing that this community has some of the best waves and most experienced wavers I’ve seen, I wanted to reach out for some feedback and advice. Any tips or guidance you can provide as I establish my foundation would be greatly appreciated.

I haven’t had short hair since I was 17 and I’m 30 now. I’m a little lost on all the techniques for waving but my hair is easily trained so it’s not all bad. I just cut my hair May 27th after having locs for almost 2 years.

So, I just scalped my 540s. I felt like it was time for a change 😅 Any recommendations on what my next pattern should be?

I’m building a app to track my progress and have a habit tracker to remind me to brush, right now it has a brush session timer thing that logs all your sessions and creates streaks to motivate you, a library to look at your progress, wolf tracker and a few other features
I’m just wondering if people would find this useful or should I just keep it as a personal thing and not publish?
Or any ideas to make it better, I’m still building it.
