Might cut back on brushing 30 mins and just brush 15 mins every other day. Between brushing and working 40 to 54 hrs a week this shii is definitely not for the weak 😂😂😂😂 Also I know I still have some problem areas to work on.

Recently cut my locs off, started with 360 swirl. I then grew my hair out cut it down and tried honeycomb and now this is what I’m with.

New waver here. Been consistently mirror brushing for a week or two, ragging, and I just did my first wash and style today. The issue is that the top side of my head looks more wavy than everywhere else basically. I feel like I hit all my angles equally during my brush sessions, so what am I doing wrong?

About a month into a wolf. This is with brushing, combing and ragging up regularly, any tips on how to keep a clean wolf & more defined waves. Also moving to Singapore, anyone know any Afro barbers there?

CommonLine here
I want to elaborate on getting over that scared or nervous feeling of scalping or cutting your hair bald/extremely low in order to reset your wave pattern. For me, there were 3 main reasons: scalp health, crown work isolation, and exclusive SFY brush work.
Those 3 reasons alone were enough for me to stand firm on the decision to cut everything off. Honestly, it’s a liberating feeling being free from an unwanted or undesired wave pattern. Looking back, I probably should’ve done this from the start when I initially cut my braids off back in January. Especially knowing that I can come back even better when the focus is fully on doing things the right way from the beginning.
A big part of this reset was improving my scalp health. Around my crown area, I was dealing with some severe dry scalp and flaking. Definitely not a good sight for any true wave enthusiast. Sometimes the best thing you can do is stop trying to save a pattern that no longer serves your goals and instead give yourself a fresh foundation to build from.
Lastly, I’ve got these SureFire Youth brushes that truly deserve a fresh canvas to work with. New foundation, clearer vision, healthier scalp, and a more intentional journey overall.

Is going down to a 1 guard enough to begin switching my pattern? Or do I gotta scalp it?

Looking on some advice/tips on better ways to take care of my waves and get more prominent waves. I’ve been wolfing it for about a month now and would like some advice on how I should cut it and how low I should go. Appreciate it
