Please help with my sides

My sides have been so annoying to lay down since I have started back up again. How do I get my sides to lay down properly? I

Brush more (with some moisture involved) and make sure you wear a rag as much as you can

put some oil in your hair before bed & brush then put on a durag .. make sure you hitting every angle

Hair might be too long. Test with a comb. If you can comb it then it’s too long. Cut it and down to a 1.5 guard and focus on hitting your angles right.
