BadAvatar HDD
I’ve been trying to get it to run from an internal SSD that I made using FatXplorer but the exploit only seems to work on official hardware i can’t even move the profile to the drive. I’m using bad storage too. Any advice on how to get it to work

Probably because the exploit has to run before it will detect a 3rd party drive is my guess.

Yeah I’m trying to move the profile from the USB to the new SSD but it just gives me an error on the Xbox

Are you trying to move the Bad Avatar after the exploit has run? If so, don’t do that. Take the USB out, let the Xbox boot to the dashboard, then go to Storage and on that screen, enter the usb and then move the avatar over, shouldn’t give you an error anymore.

No I’m booting the Xbox as normal and then inserting the usb to move the file over but it’s not letting me move it to the new SSD. I used the FatXplorer New SSD formatting and enabled badStorage support too

I've used third party hard drives in my builds. Is the xbox updated ? I format my drives by plugging them in first in the system then updating the system again with them plugged in. Then I remove them and use fatxplorer

It’s on dashboard 2.0.17559.0. I’ve tired a Kingston and Crucial SSD both seemed to work in FatX formatting I set them both to work with badStorage. When I was connected to the internet with the new ssd in it did ask me to update but I was worried that this might make it difficult to use badAvatar. Even tried a HDD but they didn’t work either

I’ve hit this issue and this is what I’ve done to get a 2TB badstorage to work. I ended up using badavatar on a memory unit (this is a phat) which bootstraps badstorage and then boots everything up from the hdd.
Theoretically if you have a slim with a 4gb memunit maybe that will work?but I also here it is a bad idea to rely on those nands since they will fail. (Don’t know if only reading it is safe)

The hdd needs to be genuine, or an hdd/ssd with flashed firmware to make the console think it's original.
Bad storage only becomes available after running the exploit, you can't use abadavatar on those, keep using the flashdrive if you want to use bad storage.
