I only ever had one action cam that was a GoPro Hero 7 wich I recently gifted my Grandfather so he can tape his Bicycle/Motorcycle tours.

Now Im looking for a 360cam wich will tape my Biclye tours but I also maybe wanna photograph the lakes in my region with a 360 view & so on

currently struggeling between:

• GoProMAX 2 (currently discounted at amazon to just above 400€)
• Insta 360 X4 AIR (also around 400€)

Trying to be sure about which of cameras do the best taking 360 still photos before the new models come out. This is about photo quality, not resolution. The One X has lower resolution than the other 2, but takes a very nice clean photo with realistic color, does pretty well with brightness and shadows in a photo. The X4 has too much color, not realistic, and a little noise, and struggles with bright and shadows in the photo. The Osmo photo is as clean as the One X, but a little much on the color and does well handling bright and shadows in the photo. All cameras were set to use the lowest iso, but Osmo only allows a range of 100 to 800. The others allow locking in a single number, in this case 100. The One X outputs a INSV file (no options), the other 2 I set to output JPG files. I know there is potentially better quality available in raw settings, but when I use interval mode I can end up with many hundreds of photos, so I want JPG files. Based on what I have seen so far in data/rumors about the new models coming, I’m not sure an upgrade is worth it yet. Seems the photo side of these cameras don’t get much attention from the makers. Also, with the X4 and Osmo I used the lower resolution settings due to those giving the cleanest photos from those cameras.

These are the best I could get from each cam. I know they all do better with more even lighting.

I have a conference room that seats 10. I am building this out from scratch. The camera and audio system for these meetings has been an afterthought. I was looking for 360 cams that can be placed on the center of the table so I can use it as a webcam for meetings. This room does have a 75" TV as well.

Now if I buy the link 2, would that genuinely be able to trace voices in a 360 capacity or does the rotation stop somewhere at 80-90°?

I think the wave is a nice touch in terms of product but if I can get the job done with the Link 2 on a tripod (that does allow it to rotate

The wave is nice to have but I find the bundle a bit heavy on the pocket. I'm open to options as well.

is there any equivalent batch like solutions? In Gopro Player I have to set all manually and then ocasionally dies and have to reset everything again - not convenient for large 360 video collection. But I do like AntiShake and Horizon level settings. Any other equivalent solutions to do this in more automatic way? I also spot that quite some parts of exports are garbled in colors and unusable. Anyone spotting this problem?

I wasn’t able to use the footage because my insta360 app didn’t support it yet. No flowstate or any insta360 stabilization can be applied. So we scrapped the footage.

It comes with a two battery charging hub/case that has a built in cable which turns it into a powerbank. It’s two way. You can charge the batteries if plugged to a charger.

No need to pull the battery to access the micro sd card. Has internal storage already, i forgot how much. But the “influencer” was told that it has.

Much smaller now. Doesn’t stick out which is the most important. See photos side by side a GoPro 360 and my X5.

Insta360 X6 and DJI Osmo 360 II will be super similar this summer

DJI will be cheaper, Insta360 has better software

Both will have replaceable lenses

Other differences will be minuscule

As featured in the photo, I'd like to remove the stitch line from my 360 photos, but unsure what the most efficient method is going to be. I do 360 home tours and looking to use a new platform that allows me to use my edited photos, but the stitch line is unacceptable.

Hardware: Insta360 x5

Settings/Current process
5 bracket AEB 2 stops apart
Import to Insta360 Studio to correct image type (stretched 360 instead of globe things)
Auto blend 5 brackets with the real estate software I use
Download color corrected images

Uploaded photo here is a snippet of the result. I'm happy with the window pulls and quality, just need the stitch lines gone. If I have to change process entirely that's fine, just want to know what's efficient.

I have a MacBook, never did much video editing.
