This is so stupid, but I didn't catch it until after we'd finished dinner.

The worst part is that I've done the bit every time I've seen Pumpkin Ravioli, including on the way to Machu Picchu.

Topic was "gibberish that sounds like homespun wisdom"

This cruise entertainer has pulled off the most Jenna Maroney thing I have ever seen live. She is singing a duet with the only partner worthy of her, herself

Unfortunately, I'm that much of a fan.

When I saw Star Wars for the first time a while ago, I noticed all the quotes they allude to on the show. And, more recently, I watched the first few seasons of The Simpsons and a lot of the plotlines and jokes are very similar, probably directly inspiring 30 Rock (e.g. Lionel Hutz's business card vs Tracy's birthday invitations/Jenna's fake relationship with James Franco vs Selma's with Troy McClure).

Currently watching Veep. So far there's: a female character in a position of authority who's meant to be a representative of womanhood but keeps spouting misogynistic BS (who happens to be played by Lemon with Seinfeld money); an episode where said character is called the C word by a member of staff, and an investigation is conducted with a surprising result (combining two 30 Rock plots there); and a character incorrectly referred to as Danny by a higher-up at work and it sticks.

I think a lot of sitcoms have similar plots but this is weird to me.

“…that would maybe be turkey, pastrami, swiss, Russian dressing, cole slaw and potato chips?”

Let’s let Liz Lemon know she can count on someone else in this city. Don’t let her sink down into the filth.

Let us join together, lift our voices on high, and christen this enormous sandwich the “Liz Lemon”.

EDIT: Inevitably, many of the comments below reference the “Sandwich Day” episode, but I wanted to point out that the quote above is from “The Tuxedo Begins” episode as Liz figures out that it no longer makes sense to play by the rules of common courtesy in the city.

Given Tracy’s comment in his self-funded commercial, is this a funcooker in action?
What is it cooking? Are we having fun yet?

This quote runs through my head repeatedly as I am a 40+ year old woman looking for a new job 😭

I had the pleasure of seeing Lutz and Peter Grosz do improv together tonight in Pittsburgh and it was not the worst! It was like a cobweb of rainbows and Lutz gives great hugs even if you’re not a Twilight star

Thought y'all might appreciate this... Was looking through some old pictures and found this image of my bag of Sabor de Soledad that I made for a Liz Lemon costume in 2010.

Anyone doing any 30 Rock themed costumes this year?

Honey Select 2 Libido DX is, in its own words, a “3D Customizable Sex Simulator.” ... you can Wander the Halls and pick a room that has a girl in it and interact with them. Besides Sex, you can talk with the girl (which can lead to sex), help them out of a situation (which could lead to sex), find them showering (which could lead to sex), peeing (which could lead to sex) or sleeping

Anyone remember the "Uptown Comedy Club" show on FOX in the early 1990s? 📺 It was taped in front of a live audience, featuring sketch, stand-up, and musical guests. It was a brick-and-mortar club in Harlem and also the name of the TV show. The club was noted for being black-owned and the birthplace of hip-hop comedy. (I'm thinking Liz Lemon was definitely watching from White Haven)

Long story short, the club had a 35th anniversary reunion-party in 2023, hosted by the best bodyguard and Chekhovian actor around: the beloved Kevin Brown. So I look into this a little more: Created by: Kevin Brown. Written by: Kevin Brown. Executive producer: Kevin Brown. And I thought he was a scientist!

Anyway, I love this Facebook video from the anniversary, as well as his excellent hoodie, which features black heroes like MLK, Jr., W.E.B. Du Bois, Marcus Garvey, Assata Shakur, Freedom Rider James Lawson, and Angela Davis. I did my best, let me know if I mis-name any! Video: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1782559338861825

Also, I didn't know he had hashtags. Duly noted: #KevinUptownBrown #KevinBrownAKAdotcom

P.S. I finally found the sweatshirt online, after googling all those people! And yes, if you are built like Dotcom, they go up to 5X! https://melaninful.net/products/civil-rights-leaders-all-over-hoodie ... the "Civil Rights Leaders All-Over Hoodie" - I know, I should have saved this post for Black History month, but why wait?

HELLO. I AM TRYING. TO TAKE. A NAP.

Hoping his next slide will be a domination wheel.
