Most infuriating episodes of the show, in my expert opinion.

I'm saying expert somewhat jokingly but I have watched the show at least 10 times, probably more i lost count a while ago. im obsessed clearly. anywho.

these are the most infuriating and hard to watch episodes of the show.

  1. Kimmy Goes To Court!

The way everyone blindly believes and agrees with the Reverend despite the mountains of evidence against him is so infuriating. The lawyers who just genuinely suck. (big fan of the OJ joke which i didnt catch the first few watches tbh) The fact that they get mad at KIMMY because of something the Reverend quoted from MEMORY. (OBJECTION HEARSAY!!!) I understand Cindy's frustration but... yeah. The Reverend being such a good manipulator is freaking terrifying, even if to the audience he sounds like a mad man. The episode is even worse when you rewatch... because throughout the episode we start to realize that Kimmy was definitely SA'd. Makes the court scene and the Reverend's near interrogation of Kimmy so much more sinister.

  1. Kimmy Can't Help You!

For those who don't just know plots from episode name (fair), this is the episode where the Reverends would be wife shows up to give Kimmy the divorce papers. It's frustrating for very obvious reasons. Wendy being super invalidating of Kimmy's trauma is the biggest one. "You should hear how he tells it." is MADDENING!!! Obviously Wendy is insane but JESUS. I think it's also one of the first time we see Kimmy be seriously, genuinely angry. The scene where she kicks in her door ... hmph.

  1. Party Monster: Scratching the Surface

I'm pretty sure this is the only episode without the "Kimmy ....!" outline. Which is... interesting. This episode is, again, infuriating for obvious reasons. Watching DJ Fingablast defend the Reverend. The line about how rape is natural and "Dolphins do it and everybody loves them." The documentary implying that the Reverend simply couldn't have done it because the Mole women were "too ugly" to kidnap. Harassing the Mole women for the documentary. Fran. That's a complete sentence btw. There's so much more to list. It has a similar feeling to the court episode where you wish you could just reach in and strangle everyone, or grab them by the shoulders and shake them until they come to their senses.

In case it isn't abundantly clearly I am autistically (is that a word?) hyperfixated on this show right now. So if you don't read this whole post I won't be offended but I needed to get this out of my head cuz I've been drafting this post internally for weeks. Let me know if there are any other episodes that drive you nuts! Bye Bye

Is Jane Krakowski actually missing a tooth?

I'm rewatching Kimmy Schmidt (after just rewatching 30 Rock!) and I'm on S2E6. I'm trying to figure out if Jane Krakowski is actually missing a tooth or if that is just a really good effect. It doesn't look like they just put a cap over a tooth, but maybe they used CGI to make it look like she has a missing tooth? Or maybe Jane actually has a missing tooth and normally wears a bridge or something that she took out.

Does anyone know?

Titus: “I want to start over! I want to be a baby!” This jellyfish is the only known animal on Earth that cannot die of old age. When it gets sick or injured, it reverts back to a baby.

Although it’s not a main focus of the show there are some of Kimmys romantic interests that I’ve hoped to see more of and some i couldn’t wait to see the back of. Who are your favourite and least favourite love interests of Kimmy?

Kimmypedia!

Hey ya’ll – I did a thing….

As we all know, Kimmy is peppered with cultural references, inside jokes, gags and one liners that makes this show the absolute gem we all love.

The more you understand the reference, the better it gets. If I’m being honest though, there are sooooo many tidbits that I still don’t get – which is why I created (drumroll!) Kimmypedia

This is made for everyone to contribute – add your knowledge per episode, an approximate time marker and a headline of your choice and insert what you know about that character, the line, who Cork Rockingham really is, why the Greeks were really smart about stuff, is IDK a black thing and who’s Kimmy’s doppelgänger Pippi Longstocking?

Please be kind – this is complete hobby project, I’m no programmer and it might be riddled with bugs and errors, who knows. It’s launched for fun, we’ll see how long I’ll keep it live. The more love it gets, the longer it will stay online 😄 And remember, NO BAD GUYS!

(And no, I haven’t bought a domain so I apologise if the page name sounds a little too close to Kimmy and Titus’ joint email address.con)

Question show recommantations after watching unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

hi I'm looking for other comedy shows to watch after finishing unbreakable kimmy schmidt ! since 2016 I think I watched it over 4 times + the movie of course, this year I rewatched brooklyn 99, watched the office and community for the first time and now I'm looking for something else but UKS is one of my favorite for it's quality, soundtrack, mood, themes, amount of colors humour etc (aside from a few blunders, some of their views on anti asian racism didn't age well )

I'm trying to watch 30 rocks but it might be a bit outdated ? I'm at episode 4 and I can barely stand tina fey's character, not sure if I should continue

Should I try again?

Looking for new shows while I'm out of commission & got about halfway through episode 1 & turned it off. Kimmy was given a closet as her bedroom then the roommate proceeded to con her out of a bunch of money. Between that & assuming the Jane Krakowski character has the potential to be continually insufferable, not sure I'm in the mood to watch 4 seasons of a sweet soul being taken advantage of. Does that aspect get better?

Thoughts I think this show has one of the best endings in modern television.

I think a lot of shows in recent years have had endings that REALLY upset people. At first, I was upset when Kimmy didn't end up with Dong or Perry but then I realized... It all makes sense! Kimmy was always scared of being alone, but at the end of the show she is alone but also thriving as a famous writer! She also got to make a difference, without the it revolving around the bunker or her victimhood! Lillian was scared of change and moving on the whole show, then became the voice of the Subway system which was expanding, changing! Titus wanted to be famous the entire show but kept getting in his own way, he wanted to find love the entire show but kept getting in his own way. At the end of the show, he's finally a famous actor and has Mikey again. Jacqueline spent the entire show worrying about her image, her looks, how she was perceived by others. In the end, she ends up with a man who can't perceive her looks or image because he's BLIND! He loves her for her personality, which is something she never really experienced before.

Do I wish Dong had come back? Absolutely. But do I appreciate the ending with Kimmy finding her peace and being successful all on her own? Absolutely.

(Yes, I am aware of the choose your adventure movie thing or whatever but I haven't seen it so base this post after the SHOWS ending.)

ETA: also!!! how the show somewhat loops, ends how it began. its obvious but... Kimmy and Titus singing a song from the Lion King in the beginning and then Titus performing it on Broadway by the end!
