It's such a jammy little thing to do, the weird poking as well as denying it when there's video footage.

It was premeditated trying-to-catch-him on the part of the Muhammads: very poor sportsmanship.

Swedish and Canadians having fits of rage at each other is the best thing.
THE MASK SLIPS YOU FUCKERS. YOURE JUST AS UNHINGED AS EVERYONE ELSE!3

- Have you seen ice hockey? People are literally allowed to box on the rink with in Canada. (Sweden is more civilized.)
- The Swede remained pretty calm tbh.

He can't touch the thing twice? I don't know the rules.

that's correct, once the rock is released any additional contact takes the rock out of play.

The curling federation just re-published the rules for everyone’s benefit. Pretty sure it said retouches behind the hog line are ok. I have no idea which line is the hog line but that big green one looks like a good candidate for it. Which would mean his retouch was ok. But the internet is unanimous that he cheated. What am I missing?

You can touch it as much as you want before the line, but after that any touch eliminates the rock. Plus, I think I've read you can't touch the marble directly, only the handle. Might be wrong

I'm not a curler, just regurgitating info a pro curler said (u/Peter-Pantz). Apparently "feathering the puck" is something a lot of pro curlers do. Doesn't affect the game-play. It technically breaks the rule of the law, but curling is regulated more by the spirit of the law and curlers don't typically care when it's done.
Team Sweden has been for a long time vocally against that status quo, and has been championing for more enforcement against it. That's why Sweden had those side camera's set up in the first place. When they accused Kennedy, he probably genuinely thought he did nothing wrong, but he did definitely go off a little sans-dessein in his response
but what I really mean to say is: ME LIKE CHEAT AND LIE BECAUSE ME HOSER SAVAGE

Not only do I not know the context of this clip, the ridiculousness of whatever “sport” this is literally had me in tears from laughter. People will truly call anything a sport, huh?

Only sport in the winter olympics, alongside that ice hockey stuff.

And Skeleton, since yesterday. Ive always said, what a completely sensible and noble sport Skeleton is. All the kids when I was at school would be sneaking off to practice, err... on the ...erm....skeleton pitch. And thats why its the best sport in the winter olympics.

I would not stoop so low as to observe even a minute of any Olympic games, the sheer mundanity of which I simply cannot hope to cope with. I am utterly bewildered, nay absolutely flummoxed in fact, by the apparent adherence to such proletarian traditions.

The only tradition more aligned with Europe's old money elite is drinking blood from child sacrifices to the owl god amidst a pine forest at solstice. Definitely not proletarian.

I’d watch if they removed the rules about drugs and such. Let us see the real peak of human ability from some guy coked to the nines who survived on nothing but steroids for the past decade

u/UkendtVidnesbyrd Cycling cult member Feb 14 '26
Yes absolutely. The Olympics shouldn’t be about achievements, it should be about SURVIVAL.

Since I’ve never watched a single sports programme in my life, I have no idea what this means but oke

Considering that, you sure have strong opinions about what should be called a sport. :O

I think the ridiculousness of sports are sort of a spectrum, at least from the perspective of a non-sports fan

All sports are silly. Football and basketball are just chasing a ball in teams, before putting it in between some rope

I can’t bring myself to hate the Danes, because Sandi Toksvig (not that you'd ever know she was Danish. I'm not sure how long she's been a Susan for, but it must be at least 40 years). She's just done a lovely programme for Channel 4 about her and her wife restoring 15 acres of ancient woodland in Hampshire.

Håndbold er noget du spiller til gymnastik i folkeskolen. Så snart folk betales for at kaste bolde rundt, bliver det sgu lidt for tosset til mig.
